|

Okay. I got a new computer. I downloaded Avast! Anti-Virus (which is very reliable on my behalf), but MacAfee Security Suite is saying "your computer is at risk". I did a thorough scan, no Viruses. So I downloaded a reliable anti-Malware. It still says that........
Is MacAfee just being pissy?? D:
Guys I need help. |

McAfee kicks ass as is, I dont see why you would need two. Having more than one anti-virus always makes problems, and they duke it out in the cyber battle ring.
No really, all you need is 1.
WHY ARE YOU READING SHITTY LISTS THAT SAY NOTHING TRUE?

MacAfee is actually not that great. I used to have it, and it actually ranks number 6 on the top ten anti virus of the 2009 year. Norton is above it.
Avast has worked pretty well on my computer and I haven't had a problem with it. If I were you, I would uninstall MacAfee, having two anti virus software on your computer will only cause problems and it will become very slow.
Try to scan the computer in reboot mode, avast allows that. It will detect a virus even before it attacks your computer.
Also download malwarebytes, it deletes malreware and will work perfectly behing an anti virus without any problems.
To address the question above me:
why do you care, it doesn't concern you. _________________

I use Avast, Malwarebytes A-M and AVG free, and they don't conflict for me. McAfee sucks balls as far as I know, so does Norton. _________________ "edit : i luv james" - Layzcarter |

AVG works fine for me. I got McAfee as part of updating Firefox and I hate it. _________________ |
