Fyi, there may be a little downtime tomorrow.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Valued Customer,
This is notice that Sago Networks will be performing intrusive Network Maintenance next week. The window will be:
Date: Friday September 17th, 2004
Time: 11PM - 2AM EST
Reason for Network Maintenance:
*Upgrade operating system, supervisors, and/or controllers on all network devices,
*Upgrade links to Distribution Switches (Layer 3),
*Complete upgrade on core to 6x10Gbps for all network segments,
*Increase capacity at both peering stations,
*Complete migration of core from Cisco 12xxx and 65xx to Foundry NetIron 40G, and
*Expand IDS Capabilities
Most of this migration is complete. The few remaining elements needing to be upgraded will require momentary interruptions and/or OSPF/BGP restarts on certain interfaces. Reconfiguring the network in this manner will provide an immediate performance boost for all customers. While we anticipate completion within 15-30 minutes, we have expanded the window to allow for unforeseen events. Most customers should experience very brief interruption and/or minor packet loss while the upgrade is completed. _________________ You will obey or molten silver will be poured into your ears. |
