Q: What exactly is troll like behavior?
Trolls, you know the people the internet community loves to hate. For a very long time FAC has had I mild Tolerance of them in order to keep them at bay and their numbers down. This was a thought-out and strategic practice along the "Do not feed the trolls" line of thinking, even giving them not only second chances, but some up to nearly a dozen chances to redeem themselves and clean up their acts.
However, In mid 2009 FAC had been forced to change tactics. Trolling activity had skyrocketed during the economic slide. Our tolerance had been far exceeded and the great banhammer had begun. FAC issued bans on over 200 (and still counting) sockpuppet and evasion accounts. In our effort to defend ourselves, FAC came to the conclusion that we would No longer wait for someone to send an official report to site Administration or the site Abuse Team, and terminate troll-like behavior on sight.
Essentially this is still in effect.
In an effort to stem evasion efforts we neglected to make the criteria for troll-like behavior public. After a year and a half, Troll activity has calmed down enough to warrant disclosure to our userbase.
