Games that SHOULD be made into movies

Agreed, cant really see LOK as a live action. Sure sure they managed to put General Grevious into a live action star wars and all but that's just my opinion, give LOK a CGI-ish movie approach like Advent Children. xP

Legend of Dragoon might just get away with a live action movie though. =P

Hmm... How about the classic arcade game by Midway, Rampage? That would make one heck of a monster movie. Anyone here agree?

I dont know about all that...but here are the games I know are currently or are being talked about being turned into movies:

Uncharted
Gears of war
Bioshock
World of Warcraft
the Metal gear movie got scrapped because the producer said the game is already enough like a movie. (play MGS4 and you'll see what I meen)

I know nothing about D&D outside of its deadly social stigma...but since WoW has a storyline it shouldnt be too bad...

D&D has abit of a storyline to it as well, especially concerning it's dragons and gods etc, but it's probly not as in depth as WoW is. Not that im dissing D&D mind you, just that WoW is meant to have a deeper storyline and all that since it's an rpg online game etc.

Though as I said before, a game that SHOULD be made into a movie is Assasin's creed. I mean damn look at their trailers! Movie material right there.

In game...well not IN GAME but on the disc there is a prequel on AC2 that is about Ezio's dad...is that what you're referring?

No I mean as in the trailer the game series sends out each year to promote their game. Like the latest one Revelations. I mean hell the graphics are gorgeous and soo realistic. o3o kinda pwned Advent children alil there in the CGI department.

Also, dunno but she has another account too that's Standxstrong somethin. I think it was for giggles or she got hacked. Or just couldnt get into Facebook and rant on her wall. -.-

I have also found they sell this 90min vid at gamestop for about 8bucks on normal DVD and blu-ray. (not sure on b-ray price though)

I got nothing else. I was going to suggest a Burnout Paradise movie, but that would just rip off Fast and the Furious.

That does sound interesting, though it would have to be a series. As in SC 1 through 5, no spin offs though like they did with the psp and other console versions.

And cgi ish like Advent Children..cause for some reason live action ruins everything..well almost everything.

I mean hell, it made Twilight ten times worse, and twilight sucked to begin with. xD
And the poor super mario brothers got destroyed because of it, Yoshi looked....terrifying. Not the cute and cuddely dino we fell in love with back in the nintendo days.

the problem is while a game might be really awesome....the concept will not translate well into a movie i.e: super mario bros. the tekken movie. dragon ball, well..most game->movie transitions suck because a director that knows little to nothing about the game does some research and then changes it to make it "his own" but the problem is...fans of games just want to see a movie version of their favorite game. Not semi-similar actual people given the names of the characters in their favorite game doing something completley different.

Yup yup that is true. I say if anyone is to make a movie off a game, bring in the person or persons who thought up the characters and story plot too so you dont make a total fail of the movie.
