Whoever thinks the moon landing is fake and totally hoaxed by NASA will get their self-esteem broken by me.

Oh, that old thing again? Conspiracy theories never die, they're just too fun.

I seem to recall Mythbusters testing some of the predominant theories (flag waving in a vaccuum, slow-mo video footage) and Busting them soundly.

There's also word that the moon team set up reflecting mirror-panels which NASA is [i]still[/i] bouncing lasers off of to this day.

But seriously, my dad showed the a moon footage documentary he got from the library, and I was all, "I've never seen this footage before!" There were pictures, videos of the landing from a small corner of the ship on the outside, footage of the crew back on Earth surveying the video and waiting- moon rocks collected on Earth, bouncing astronauts, newscasters at that moment of history, and I was all, "This is amazing!" -I looked on Youtube to look at parts of the footage to see what other people thought, and I saw comments like, "Dude, this video is obviously a waste of time. Don't even watch it. It's fake. The real question though is...how did they do the anti-gravity effects?"

I was all a;ljf;sfdjhsdgflsdgls why are you all so ignorance-constipated?

One of my friends tried to tell me that NASA made up the moon landing because they had to have a "big discovery" to recieve funding. I din't believe a word of it. Things don't actually work that way...

And when it comes to the theory...ehh I dunno really. I mean if we did go to the moon, maybe we should prove the doubters wrong and show the footprints of Neal Armstrong via live camara recording from a space bot or something. Dont get me wrong I do believe we have gone there...I just wish the doubters werent soo jaded like Lucky says.

That or we could try to go again....if we werent soo broke that is thanks to the careless spending and what not. Poor Nasa isnt doing soo well. u.u

You can rule out the evil clones. That happened just recently with that sheep clone, so no. Robots, too... unless they came from Area 51!!

For example:

Claim: "The shadows in the moon photos aren't consistent sizes or directions."
Answer: Some shadows appear inconsistent because the terrain was [i]not flat[/i]. Hills and dips cause shadows to get skewed.

Claim: "No stars visible in the sky."
Answer: DUH! Moon was too bright to actually see the stars from. And it's funny how nobody complains about this when they see pictures of the ISS (or just plain old Earth) from orbit, only when it's the Moon photos.

More like, it's real because it's stood the test of time for 40 years. Considering NASA spent years on it (and hundreds of thousands of people were involved somewhere in the project), if it we're fake it'd have unraveled ages ago.

Especially considering the Soviets should've been the [i]first[/i] ones to say we didn't go, but they never did anything of the sort.

There's a story from back in the day where someone called in and swore they saw a pop can/bottle getting tossed across the scene. Of course, nobody can verify that, and the claim has a number of other errors in it (like claiming to be from Australia but having to "stay up late at night" to watch, when the landing occured in Australian daytime) so it's far more logical to assume that they just made the story up out of whole cloth. Occam's Razor certainly applies against most of the theories.

Occam's Razor would actually support it being fake. Given the tech of the time (or even today for that matter) it would be far easier to fake it then do it for real.
