Long ago the bane of most of my pictures were hands...over time I studied hand anatomy (studied=drew hands alot) and eventually got good enough at it that I can pretty much draw anything as long as I have reference material. But the same does not hold true when it comes to believeable hair. Not anime hair...but portrait, realism style hair. I restrained myself from posting for help here because I figured I simply needed to practice more...which I do...but I seem to be missing something, because its never taken me this long to get something right, or at the very least...to where I accpet it a the best I can do for now.

this image is an example of the type of hair that would all but completely stop me from finishing a picture. Granted this is from a professional's gallery but I could draw that to a fairly accuarte degree. Its just the hair |

Also, link what your attempt of realistic hair would be so we can access exactly what you are "missing." _________________ “Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checked by failure...than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.” ~Theodore Roosevelt |
