3 Submissions a Day Policy

Have we ever thought about taking off this limit of 3 pictures a day? I never felt it truly "encouraged" other users to submit their best work. They still submit their best or worst art, and wait until the next day to submit the same quality.

Perhaps we should just get rid of the system, unless there is a better reason to keep it.

I think it has something to do with flood control. oO
Even so, if it were removed I'd still submit three a day, cause I dont think my comp could withstand me overloading it with pics. xD

Maybe not completely take away the limit, but maybe increase it. Sometimes I find myself wanting to put something I'm really proud of on, but I can't because I've already put three things on that I was also very proud of. Most of the time those are things I find and forgot about. I just think three is too little sometimes especially when some people are trying to get their comics on...

Flood control is correct. The whole point of the policy was proven beyond a reasonable doubt on HF. With a limit of twenty some odd images a day we found people literally submitting crap by the truckload. Literally submitting ten, fifteen and even into the twenties a day of little more than pornographic MS pain scribbles. It was that very practice that not only led to this policies reinstatement but HF's over the top quality guidelines policies. Well over a thousand images had to be deleted because of abuse of the relaxed submission limit.

Also, A question for you. As an AP staff, Do you really want to process that many more images?

Trust me on this one, I have seen and processed a 500+ queue, you don't want that kind of work load.

The limit is set by a constant in the code's configuration script (on a per site basis), so only the webmaster has authority to change it. As FAC is not nearly as fast-moving as HFC perhaps upping FAC's limit to five is an option we can consider.

Since it's primarily a flood control thing, I leave it to those who do AP work to decide -- they are the ones that have to deal with the consequences. If you want it raised I'll raise it.

Speaking as both a submitting FAC user and an AP staff member, I will support raising the limit to 5 pictures a day. I will take responsibility with the higher approving rate as well.

so, would I be able to become an approval person? I mean...what kind of load are we talking? Or do you even need more people?
