i just found a picture that really looks like one i just submitted!.....and i really didnt mean to do anything like it! Sad

its a Link in PJs, i submitted then looked and found another 1 almost the same, just better. *cries* i dont want to be kicked off the site! how do you cancel a submition and take it out the queue?

As long as you didn't copy their picture it's fine. I know someone who drew from the same reference photo as I did and our images looks somewhat the same, but they're both our own work. As long as you didn't copy, trace, or use their original art as a reference you're fine. ^_^

Reminds me of when I saw this picture. I knew they used a book cover as reference material, so I went searching -- the book was The Black Gryphon (larger image from Amazon.com) by Mercedes Lackey, and this artist's rendition was fairly accurate to the book cover.

[b]But[/b], like jhonenfreak says, as long as it's not copied/traced, as long as you do your own work, there's no problem with it!

For example, notice how half the pictures in this category look almost exactly like each other since they're drawn from the same reference picture.
