I’ve been noticing more and more conversations around AI lately, and honestly, I think it’s worth talking about how it can actually support us as artists instead of replacing us.

For example, one of the biggest struggles many of us face is creative block. Sometimes you sit in front of a blank canvas or screen and… nothing comes out. AI tools can be really useful here: they can suggest color palettes, help brainstorm character poses, or even generate rough backgrounds you can later refine in your own style. It’s not about letting the AI “do the work,” but rather about having a tool that sparks ideas when you’re stuck.

Another area where I see a lot of potential is time-saving for small, repetitive tasks. Need quick references for hands, buildings, or outfits? Instead of scrolling endlessly, AI can whip up a few variations in seconds. You still decide what fits your vision, but you save hours of searching.

Of course, we all need to be careful about how AI uses data, and it’s important to credit human creativity. But if treated as a sidekick rather than a competitor, AI can free up more time for the fun parts of art.

Personally, I’ve been exploring some free AI tools like Grok Ai Free(https://grok.free/), and while they’re not perfect, they’ve been surprisingly good at helping me brainstorm little details or explore “what if” scenarios. It feels less like cheating and more like bouncing ideas off a friend.

What about you guys? Have you tried using AI for your art process, or do you prefer keeping it completely traditional? I’d love to hear different perspectives on this!
