Where does your inspiration come from as an artist?

I'm not really sure where mine comes from. A lot of it comes from my history as a gamer and an anime/manga fan, and so a lot of my art/writing reflects these interests as far as style and mood go.

So, what about any of you?

Most of my inspiration comes from conversations I've had, and the RPs I play. Or a combo of caffeen and late night TV

My inspiration comes from books I read, games I play, TV I watch, and stuff outside. Then there's the artists I've come to love. Yoshitaka Amano is my role model, I'm trying to collect all his artbooks. Tetsuya Nomura, the person that does the Castlevania character designs. Then there's music that inspires me, too.

certain scenes in books will often inspire me, and also some anime, manga, and comic-book artists. movies and fantasy-related stuff, too. umm otherwise i think most of my inspiration comes from boredom and random daydreaming, as well as caffeine and late-nite/early morning tv (as dg-sama said). heh heh insomnia....

Long hair, tight pants, men in makeup, black leather, studded belts, boots, aquanet, nipple rings, and balls to the wall rock n' roll.

Well lets see. I was inspired to draw anime by Sailor Moon and Pokemon. I liked the style and just drew Sailor Moon. LIke everyday! I used to draw things for my classmates. We even had a drawing contest once.

Most of my rpgs inspire me to draw. That, and if I'm not drawing, I feel sick to my stomach.

1. classes...
2. looking at really really good art.
