We've known about this problem for quite some time. Unfortunately, we're not sure how to fix it.

In the meantime, make sure that:
- You are accessing the site as http://www.fanart-central.net/ (not something like "fanartcentral.net")
- You have Javascript and (more importantly!) cookies enabled on your browser
- Try clearing the browser cache, closing and restarting your browser, or even rebooting. Sometimes the problem will seem to just go away.

{edit: Umm did posting/whining do the trick? I tried one last time for old time's sake, (also holding down shift when I typed enter?) and it logged me in. I'm so disturbed!}

So, I'm having the same problem. Cleared cache. Cleared cookies. Cleared temp files. Reset password using the forum link, when the main site's link didn't send me a useable password. Restarted computer. Changed computers, still didn't work. Took down firewalls. I'd be very sad to lose my account name, it's what I use everywhere. I'd like to help the admin get to the bottom of this, here's my system information:

First computer:
Windows ME, t1 internet connection, IE 6.0
Second computer:
Windows 2000, t1 internet connection, IE 6.0

Symptoms first included "error! password incorrect" (or something to that effect) then after a successful password reset, logging in takes me back to the homepage with zero notification, and I'm still not logged in.

Something I might suggest: I originally joined the site in March of last spring. Since, I've validated my email and agreed to the new rules. After which, I was out of the country for quite some time, and not near a computer, so I didn't log in at least from May till now, late October. Not sure, but it's possible that the site changed addresses between then and now? Is this long absence possibly when some kind of error occured causing some people to not be able to log in?

I have all the originals for the artwork I've submitted, I don't mind resending them in, despite losing comments. Is there anyway my account could be deleted, or completely reset?

Hopfully someone's considering fixing this,
AWK
Reset password using the forum link, when the main site's link didn't send me a useable password
Resetting password via forum can cause problems. Can you elaborate on the "main site's link didn't send me a useable password"?

If the login problem is on just one computer, its a computer problem, if its on all computers, its an account problem. Email me about it and I'll set you a password manyally If I need to. If its a comp problem, make sure you access the site via www.fanart-central.net (some of the older addresses may not work right anymore, as the note at the top of the site says).

worst case, I can delete your account and you can make a new one under the same name.
