Actually, I posted a tutorial in Art Tips/Suggestions/Tutorials (although sometimes I wonder, do we really need it or could it just be a subforum of Art Help? The distinction between the two is apparently too subtle for newbies).

My tutorial can works for monochrome media, and even then, how [i]well[/i] it works depends upon how you scanned it -- it won't always remove lines.

If worst comes to worst, you can always open it up in MSP, zoom in to 4x, and use the eyedropper/pencil tools to manually erase them.
