If You Add A New Character To A Fanfic

i wonder, if you add your own character to a fanfic. like if you wrote a fanfic about an anime and you add another character not from another anime that exists. is it legal to submit it to this site. i created one character for an inuyasha fanfic and i am not sure it if it is legal please tell me if i can submit it when i am done it should not be long before im done. sorry everyone i am new to this site.

PS: even if i wrote down that inuyasha does not belong to me.

Fanfiction [i]itself[/i] is a bit of a grey area since some consider it copyright infringement (and thus a crime) while others don't have a qualm about it....

In other words, I don't see a problem with what you're describing.
