The RPG maker is a excellent editor for those who wanna create, well, RPG games. But there`s also other freeware programs you don`t need to register
to use.
The Adventure Game Studio (AGS) For those who have lived long enough to know about the point-and-click genre that was highly popular early in the ninties.
Games such as Larry and Monkey Island just to mention a few, well know YOU can make a game like that too. Simply enter the website Gamehippo.com and find the link in developer tools.
The AGS is easy to use and require no scripting skills (Altought you can script to)
Remember: The essence in such a game is not the animations and graphics, but humorous text dialogs.

Ever played your favourite fighting game on your old console and find out that something was missing?
MUGEN and KoF91 Engine is both engines to make and run your own 2D fighting game. It requires a little knowledge about it but It`s totally free.
