The good:
-the page coloring (was it supposed to be brown? Anyway awresome!)
-like the pose..
- Yay cool clothes

The bad:
- The heads seem a bit big for their bodies.
-The hands are a little bit too small. (check your own hand out. Put it palm to your face and see that it's about that same size as your face)

(Oh yesh the horrors of a digital camera. Razz)

The goods

-Composition and the anatomy in overall looks right
-cool boots or someting I don't know.

The bads

- Again, blurry (Doesn't scanner cost less than Dika?)
-the facial expression is... I don't know, UNORTHODOX
-and overall impression of the picture isn't spectacular, nothing is one focus, really, it's just a girl (a guy perhaps) standing.

Here you go, If you're going to critisize it, do it in the thread

Good:
the beautiful lively colors (red, blue, yellow). It make the pic seems alive ^_^
I like the pose
you did an background for this picture

Bad:
The right foot is smaller then the left
the coloring on a few place. (ex: left leg) seem to be done kinda fast. We can see the markers stokes.....(maybe it's a style...or the effect you want to give...)

anyway

next person, please critique this pic

The Good:
-She's not a skinny noodle. Yay! ^^
- The detail is interesting.

The Bad:
- The legs. They seem to be going in some odd direction that a leg can't go into. They don't follow the pose very well.
- The hand seems a little off. When people normally rest their hands on their hips they don't have the hand up and you see every finger. Its only a couple fingers and the side of the palm you see. Unless the palm is touching the body.. then the fingers grip the body.

Good points:
The body proportions are good
You have a nice coloring an shading

Bad poibts:
The left (his left) hand seems a bit odd
Also it's a bit blurry, but since you use a digital camera, I'm not going to bug you about it too much.

That's very well done.

The colors are very nice, and aren't painful to the eyes. The background is a very nice compliment to the leather (?) jacket that your character is wearing.

My only nitpick would be the fingers. They could use a little work. :)

Overall, I'd give you a 4/5.

Very nice work on the folors and the costume!

Ahahaha... Yet another fantastic piece, OMNI-X. Love the detailing you've got going there... Fayth's hairstyle is really sweet. Oh, and I really like how you made the lettering appear to be pushing up out of the ground.

Anyway, the picture could definitely benefit from some more shading, as well as a more substantial background. I know you said the picture was rushed (so much detail for a rushed picture if you ask me - how long did it take you?), but after seeing all the work you put in... I couldn't help feeling slightly disappointed by the simplicity of the sky and the birds. Meh, I know, I'm just being nitpicky.

Fayth's left arm (the one with the dagger) feels a bit odd to me - like maybe the shoulder's too far out from the body. That's the only thing that bothers me though - I like the poses, the stances, the properly balanced weight, the perspective on the double-bladed sword... *jealous of your perspective abilities*

Ohhh... Just noticed the little fang things on Malaya's boots. Awesome! I like your take on SD - it's cute, it's definitely SD, but it still manages to retain that 'sexy yet dangerous' feeling that I've seen in all your Babes and Blades pictures. Great job!

Would someone mind doing a color critique on this picture? I know that I screwed up here and there with proportions and balance, but I'm especially looking for suggestions on a more convincing method for shading black. Black leather versus black metal to be more precise. Ehh... if that's too difficult, then feel free to just go and rip the picture apart. XD

My sister sez,

These characters look scary, do they, liike have no pupils or something?????

Anyway, very well colored, you used colored pencil for this? but you still used that prismacolor blender-thing, right? it looks too blended for colored pencils. (not saying the picture's bad, no no) I like how the picture is organized, if it had a background of some sort, I would have thought it was a real FFVII concept art, no kidding.

anyway, 9.4/10

I agree with everything you said. I'm still learning, I know I'm not great... ^^"

I like the expression and her features are drawn well, especially the eyes and the hair. I love the shading too!

8/10

Temari looks really good, Kori. I like the overall colors and shading. Her hair might be a little too big, but then it doesn't bother me. I love her pose!

8.5/10

It looks nice, although the proportions can use a little work. The creases on the clothes look okay.

This is fairly nice work. Proportions are a little off, but overall a good job!

Here's mine:

Batman Begins Batmobile-Robo

This is an entry to a contest over at another BBS. The subject is to create a Transformer version of the Batman Begins Batmobile (The Tumbler). This is my version.

Enjoy!

Did you say Transformer? I am so there ^_^

Strong Points:
- Accurate sense of scale
- Great mechanical details
- I can almost visualize the transformation scheme....

Weak Points:
- On closer inspection, it looks a little back-heavy (I blame the combination of digitigrade feet and 'backpack' placement of the rear spoiler and wheels)
- I haven't seen the movie

Not Really A Weak Point:
- What if the robot mode actually resembled Batman's own look?

Overall:
Nothing really wrong here, so 5/5. Got color?

This is my latest, a take on one of BlackWolf's characters and completed within roughly a 24 hour time span. References included quick minisketches of BlackWolf's pictures of her character (for color and spot details), and an occasional glance at a pocketsized Wolves calendar (for proportions).

- Ready to Fly (full size - 75px/in)

Sigh... unfortunately, the rules of the contest require a 'feasible' transformation with no 'animation magic' thrown in, and the robot must work within the confines of the official Matmobile Lineart we were presented with. <_<

Anywhoo, thanks for the nice comments, and score. Laughing

With regard to your blackwolf artwork, here's what I can say:

The Good:
- nice colored pencil work. wish I can do half as good
- the sunset effect (if that was what you were going for) looks nice

The Not-so-good:
- proportion. the head looks a tad too big
- still on proportion, the body is a little short. from my POV, the root of the wings should be a little behind the shoulder blades. this one looks like it's coming out of the neck.

Nicely colored work. Good background effects, porportions are off though.

3/5

Here's another contest entry of mine, although I never got this entered.

The theme of the contest was 'Favorite Super Robot Pilot Fanart'. This is my favorite pilot. Miria 639, from Macross: Ai, Oboeteimasuka? and that's her Queadluun Rau behind her.

Enjoy!

Miria 639
