Let's try to keep this at least somewhat serious, okay?

I don't watch much anime. Heck, I don't even watch that much TV. But there are occasional times where I see something on a cartoon which piques curiosity... y'know, makes me wonder "what if".

If you have any "what-if" type ponderings about a peculiar anime, feel free to share them and discuss. But to kick off this thread, I'll share this thought which occured to me while an episode of Beyblade was on the TV.

- Many times in the Beyblade series, when a character's Blade is hit or damaged in battle, they execute a special attack or whatnot, the character themself mimics the effect of it. (Example: Ray's blade gets slammed into by his opponent, and Ray cringes as if somebody punched him in the stomach) It's as if there's some psychic link between the blader and their spinning top, independent of whether they've actively summoned their blade's Bitbeast for battle. Then there's the whole Cyber-bitbeasts concept where members of team Psychic (sp?) were said to be 'posessed' by the spirit of the blades' bitbeasts... to what extent are the bitbeasts illusion? To what extent are they real?

From all the above, this question sprang to my mind. What if during a Beybattle, when a blader summons the bitbeast spirit, they actually transformed into their summoned bitbeast for the duration of the battle?

I'm not really that familiar with Beyblade, although that would be an interesting concept. It'd definitely give the show a more fantasy feel to it. Would that situation even be a common occurence, or just limited to the main characters, since it seems like they're the only ones with Bitbeasts? Hm~

I've always wondered how things would flow given a different direction in how situations are played out (and I do it to things that happen in real life, too - not limited to just anime). That's why people write fanfiction, though, I suppose - to see where a new direction would take the story.

You pose yet another interesting question. Hm~ You = awesome muse. Surprised

i've thought that before when watching it....at first i didnt understand why they looked like they were getting hurt aswell but then in another episode it was kinda explained that they had a kinda...link with their bitbeasts and i kinda get it now...its still a little confusing at times...but yea ive sometimes thought that aswell that they could transform into their bitbeasts....i suppose the only one that has come near to doing that i brooklyn when he gets those huge black wings when they are transported to his mind....and his bitbeast zeus has those huge black wings....apart from that i cant help but wonder sometimes...

What if it were standard Bitbeast behavior? When summoned, they inhabit the bodies of the one who called them. Think about it. What if?

...meaning that in your example, Ray would turn into Drieger. Yeah, that's the question.
