Crazy/disturbing Music Videos

I'm sure you've all seen them. Those music videos that leave you wondering "just what the [i]hell[/i] was I watching?" Whether they were cool, freaky, bad, or just plain weird, everyone has seen a video where they have wondered if the director was on crack while thinking it up. So, what kind of music videos have you guys seen?

i have the worst one anyone can think up:

Well, I hear that Frank Zappa's done some pretty twisted stuff, but I've not seen any of his music videos so I can't vouch for that firtsthand.


I would have to say that "The Wall", you know, the Pink Floyd movie made for the album of the same name, has got to be the most twisted music video out there. I'm actually watching as I type this now in the corner of my mighty widescreen Mac.

Roger Waters, the band's lead singer at the time (who ended up quitting the band because he thought he was about to go insane) made it as a tribute to the band's original lead singer, Syd Barrett, a schizophrenic who melted his mind on psychodelic drugs.

The movie's like Fantasia for angry people on crack.

There's some wonky stuff in here. I'm watching the scene on "Another Brick in the Wall II" right now, Kids wearing these bloated, featureless masks marching in a line through a meat grinder.

"Goodbye Blue Sky" is animated, and has this white dove flying through the sky that erupts in a burst of blood and guts and grows a giant black metal bird who flies off and tears a big bleeding chunk out of the earth. There's a blobby Godzilla monster that turns into a giant metal tower with jet fighters flying out of it, lanky gollum-y things cowering in the sewers wearing gas masks, armies of skeleton ghosts, a Union Jack that melts into a cross bleeding into the sewers.

And Now "Empty Spaces" is on, a two or three minute animated sequence of two flowers turning into monsters and trying to devour each other followed by a screaming wall that smashes churches, turns babies into Nazis, and builds neon cities. All completed with a gooey pink man who swells up and explodes, and a skinless fist thart grows out of the ground.

The whole movie's like that, there's a scene where the main character OD's, and as they're carrying him off to his limo he starts melting and rotting and screaming, until he peels off his skin and turns into a Nazi. Another bloody one where shaves off his chest and eyebrow hair with a razor he finds on the floor of the hotel room, a five minute scene of marching hammers, his wife turning into an animated cobra-mantis-flower-bat and attacking him, and to top it all off, the main character's self-trial full of further wonkiness, more morphing animated dealies, and a scetchy Tim Burton-style eyeless staring doll.


Sorry that's so long, I just love this movie..... trippy... all music videos with no real dialogue. It's worth a look if you don't mind confusing depressing stuff and actors who look remarkably like Keith Richards.
