^_^ hi,
i am new here.. i have acrylic paintings of pokemon/digimon and don't know if they should go to "painting" category or "manga/anime" ... (example attached) |

Put it under whatever category most specifically describes the subject matter.
Myself, I would recommend using Anime/Manga > Digimon > Digimon. Yes, there IS a "Digimon > Digimon" category, it's for art of the digimonsters themselves, whereas the regular "Anime/Manga > Digimon" is for more general digimon-themed art (like the human characters/trainers or group shots).

Because people made those back when people could make their own cats, and we haven't removed them. Eh, it works for DA. Either put it under paintings or the subject matter.
