Emo!

I love a lot of emo music, and it's probably one of my favourite genres.
Brand New, Saves The Day and more are all really cool/good bands, and I love their lyrics.
Some hardcore/emo-y stuff is god too, like Glassjaw etc. So, any other emo fans here? If so, which are your favourite emo bands?

i like some emo. love brand new, saves the day (pre-[i]in reverie[/i]), and the get up kids. some screamo is ok, like senses fail. poppier-emo is fun too, like new found glory and jamisonparker. hmm my friends are more into emo than i am, tho (matchbook romance, bayside, silverstein, thursday, glassjaw, rufio). it depends on the band. sometimes they're too whiny for me. but saves the day and the get up kids are two of my [b]favourite[/b] bands

mmm it's music that has more sentimental, often whiny lyrics (about breakups/lost love, mostly). sometimes it's more mellow like dashboard confessional, but it can be more punkish or rockish like saves the day, taking back sunday, and bayside. screamo is just what it sounds like- emo music with screaming. sorry, but it's kind of hard to describe, and my definition could be way off, anyway... hope that helped a bit, tho

I like Emo music and Alternative, but my friends say I'm not supposed to because I'm Black. That does make weird or something?
