If you're born in any place but a third world country, I think you should be proud of your homeland. . . |

Well, if you were from a third world country, I highly doubt you'd have internet access, but who knows? I knew some families in Iraq that had AOL. Albeit very well to do families. . .just another reason to be thankful that we live in countries where we take so many things for granted. |

He is right, in fact I dare say, people in 3rd world countries are often more nationalistic. Maybe because it's one of the few things they have, maybe because they don't have free media and often only get information through the national television or radio. |

True, I wouldn't call Brazil a third world country though, but I see your point. In many poorer nations where people have to scracth and scrape for a living they need something to turn to to break the monotony of existense. So they turn to religeous or political fanatisism, often out of ignorance because they don't know anything else because freedom of speech is either supressed or outright forbidden. This isn't the case 100% of the time but it does happen. The middle east is rife with it though. |

even though rio and sao paolo have some classy parts the vast majority of the country is pretty poor.. but it's not always about oppressed people by the governments. people just love their countries over there for the beauty it has.. btu as you already stated, your point isn't always 100% the case. and stop mocking the americans! just the fact they are is bad enough for them....lol |

You can't say that for Americans. We have no more forests. x_x We've distroyed alot of our wildlife habbitats. Not that any of you didn't know that.... In a way, I'm kindof annoyed by America. ( even though I'm American ) We're too cocky. Think we own the world... *sigh* But actually, Monkeys rule the world. Tee hee...I had to say that. |

Tony Blair is Bush's prison bitch. Thank you HBO for giving us that valuable information.
I'm from America, and I don't give a s**t what anyone says about it because our politicians fucked up and started some war they didn't need. I like the country, but our government can kiss my All-American ass. _________________ Not all who wander are lost.

American and damn proud, as is most Americans. I was born in Trenton, New Jersey and damn proud of it too! its the city that could be considered the birth place of this great country, in my mind the greatest in the world, and not because of power, because we can be a melting pot of all types of people! the first battle ever won by the Continental army and turned the spirits of the colonists was in Trenton!
oh, and as for heritage.....look at the name....damn proud of that too! _________________ 'It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first.' - Ronald Reagan |

Well my family used to all live in Pennsylvania but then half of us moved to Ohio. So yeah, I was born in Parma, Ohio, which is a pretty big suburb off of Cleveland.
My family is pretty mixed. I guess I'm mostly Bohemian. I'm also Polish, German, and a little bit of both Irish and Dutch. I've always wanted to be Indian or French, though. And British. It would just be so cool! But I am happy with my heritage as it is. ^^ |
