Ass-kissing is really not my style... especially like that. *points up*
Let's just say "welcome back" and that's it. There's really no need to bow down and kiss her feet. I'm leaving for new york and haiwaii for a couple of weeks yet I dont expect a huge welcome back party when i come back. In fact...nobody does, I believe.
Agreed

And secondly, holy s**t your going to NYC? When?! I live close by. Very close by.

It all depends on whose ass you kiss and how... I've gotten out of many an assignment by kissing ass. "Oh, the disk didn't save your work? That's ok, it was probably an A. Don't worry about it". Meanwhile the same thing happens to four other people and they have to redo theirs. Cool (stupid school computers...)

But kissing ass in front of other people just makes you look like a douchebag.

Here's a good way to get on a teacher's good side without kissing ass. The first quarter of any class of any year, work your ass off to get all assignments in on time putting in 110% effort in it. That way, the teachers will pay less time paying attention to you and more time with the other idiots (AKA, classmates). This'll have the same effect without the degration of kissing ass. Try it sometime, it works.

That's what I meant by ass kissing. Not "oh, you're the bestest teacher ever!". Just the first two weeks of any class being the perfect model student (we're on trimesters). Never speak out of turn, pay attention, do everything perfectly, and after that you can basically do whatever you want. Want to take a bathroom break and talk to friends in the hall for 20 minutes? Go for it, teach never says a word. That essay about Roman society not so good? No problem, he barely skimmed it. Good times...

I hate people who kiss ass in the "oh, can I help you with anything? Would you like some coffee?" way. But perfect angelic behavior gets you everywhere.

Except when I was my favorite teacher's coffee bitch as his TLA. Bastard made me make the keys for all the worksheets in his classes (math) while the other TLAs got to correct papers. Because "I know you'll do them right". That's the one and only time being the "perfect student" backfired. Still like him, though, 'cause he bought me food n' stuff to make up for it. Smile

Not for some teachers. Believe me, I and my friends have tried it, but when you get a teacher who hates everybody, you're screwed, and kissing ass is the only way to stay alive during the semester.

Hm, they must be horrible then because I've never failed to make even the most evil of teachers love me. My old calc teacher who retired this year was hated by absolutely everyone as being a cruel bitch who wouldn't answer questions or review a concept, or if she did, she'd do it in an insulting way. Unless I asked the question. Hell, she bought me a fuckin' present at the end of the year. I liked her. Anyway.

Some take a little bit longer, but eventually they can all be broken.

(though to be fair, I do learn the material and earn my 4 point. Just don't do all the assignments and busy work that wastes time)

I did that for the first nine weeks. By the middle of the third nine weeks, I had been sent to the office 4 times, gotten 5 calls home, at least 20 lunch detentions, and I passed with all honors.

Although, for the record, I have gotten rid of my kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grade teachers.

If you guys knew me outside of these forums, I swear, you'd be amazed.

It was the same thing with our class: 4th grade: teacher left, 5th grade: teacher left, 6th grade: teacher stoped teaching and went into therapy, 8th grade: school burns down/closes. O_O

Next thing you know, somebody in my class will set off the atomic bomb, then we'll all be screwed.

First grader burned down the primary wing of the school once. 6 year old, mentally challenged arsonist. I felt very safe.

It's obviously about ass-kissing now...in someways it probably inspired the beginning of this post (I was actually just being nice, didn't know I was ass-kissing. But once i thought about it, it was kissing-ass. WTF? I'm a closet ass-kisser...) So it's all relevant, not crude.

No need to ruin our fun! >_<

Scarlett must not know us very well. :P

Raymei's in Japan, we're happy for her, she'll come back with stories to tell, and we'll listen, I'm sure.

She needs no gifts. She wasn't in a hospital.

Where's the thread made to kiss my ass?

"Oh my God Flea, you are so awesome. I'm ecstatic with love."

Oh the sarcasm would make me die laughing.
