Guns N' Roses

Alright. I've heard from someone who has 2 tickets to a publicity tour in Tennesee that Guns N' Roses is having a publicity tour. A little get together, one may say. Now, I'm not entirely convinced it's gonna be the ACTUAL Guns N' Roses, so I cut a raw deal.

I'm going with him to see the concert.

Fallen, you of all people would know more about these rumors than I, so any comments?

Well, my "inside knowledge" is a bit lacking as of the last few days because of THIS.

But based off his past behavior, I would say it'll go one of these ways:

~ Axl will not show.
~ Axl will show up 3 hours late.
~ Axl will show up late, find some trivial thing not to his liking, and refuse to play
~ Axl will come up with a ridiculous excuse to call it off sometime before the show
~ Axl will sue someone
~ Axl will play a few mediocre songs, throw a tantrum, and storm off stage

Should he actually make it through an entire show, well, one in a million.

I can't find any info about this thing on any major Gn'R sites, but maybe it's not being widely reported. Closest I can find is old listings for the Rock in Rio thing that was cancelled in May.

That's all I could find as well. He says it's a publicity tour. Not sure what that means, exactly.

Oh, and the dude who is offering my the ticket happens to be our new drummer. WITH A SET.

lucky you, my drummer kinda kicked the bucket like 3 1/2 months ago, and we still don't have a new one....

my sister said something about a publicity tour being like when stars do concerts so people wont forget them or something, but i think she's wrong....???

Nah, she's right, but Guns N' Roses hasn't been doing all too well. I mean, publicity could just be standing onstage for all they care.

It's weird, to me. But should this go awry, there's a second treat waiting for me in New Orleans.

"Publicity tour" could be any number of things. Sounds...odd. Especially weird for that location. :huh: Mostly a "publicity tour" would be a small thing to build interest in whatever it is they're promoting, but there's been nothing about Chinese Democracy since it was said to be "out in November" on BTM. Never gonna happen. Oh, and there was that one article saying Axl is producing it (oh goody!).

Yeah, I dunno. If it's for real, Axl does need to get out of the house. Rolling eyes

Hire a few therapists, beat up a few fans, good times... Oh, Flea, bring your riot gear. Wink
