I cried... for like a five minutes. Then I was mad they made him die. That guy's my favorite character. I'm hoping he'll come back in another book :/ |

Meh, it wasn't all that tragic in my opinion but I've pretty much lost a lot of interest in HP anyway... personally though I think it's just a plot devised by Rowling in order to renew interest in her readers. Cause a lot of the older readers who where losing interest in the series reacted strongly to the guy's death, who happened to be a fan favorite, will buy the next volume just to see if he does come back, rather then abandoning the series. _________________

You're probably right. I'd buy it either way... Harry Potter was what really got me into reading, and I'll always love the series just for that. |

That's cool. ^^ One of the reasons why I think HP is such a good thing. It gets kids to read. I think everyone who loves reading has a series that got them started that they hold close to thier heart. I still remember the series that really got me hooked on reading, Dragonlance, too bad I'll prolly never be able to read every single volume in it. _________________

naaaahhh i don't think rowling was sad...i think she was estatic in killing him off....prolly cause every one was looking forward to see him in every book...and not harry im so nice aren't i?
::waits to get slapped:: ya...he wasn't my favorite character...although he was one of the coolest....
My favorites though are ron's brothers....now they were hilarious...i couldn't stop laughing when they did all that stuff to ....wats her name...ugh...im so bad with names...i can't even remember mine sometimes....
I wonder how the last two books will be...
btw..what do u guys think...are there going to be 7 or 8 books...
i heard that there were 7 cause 7 years of hogwarts...
and then i heard 8 cause the eigth would tell of the year (s) after harry graduated...
i also heard from a friend of mine that harry might die in the end against voldemort...and my friend read this from an interview with rowling..or something like that....
personally...if she kills off harry...there will be A LOT of unhappy readers and fans...
w/e thats just me though

Well... Personally, I think Rowling only killed him because it'll have everyone thinking "Will he come back in another book?" Which he probably will... you have to please your readers, you know. Before she said that there'd only be seven books and that she wouldn't write about Harry after that, BUT now she's claiming that she might write about him again. I think if she's making enough money on it, she'll continue to write about him for a while. I'm guessing she will, since people will continue to buy her books JUST because they want to know what happens, even if they don't like the story anymore. Just an idea.... |

Right... tears aren't for the weak. Being sensitive doesn't have much to do with being weak. They show emotion, mkay. |
