Leopard gecko. The pet store in town went out of business years ago, so buying hers is a pain in the ass as well. Had a snake when I was 8. Slither. It starved too 'cause the wonderful owner neglected to mention that particular kind doesn't like to eat in captivity. <_<

Heh heh... there seems to be an unwritten law that pet snakes require "slither" somewhere in their name". The grade 8 one was a wild garter snake that one of the stupid kids had picked up over the summer and brought home knowing full well that his mother wouldn't allow it in the house. It was dubbed as my boyfriend because I would come in before class started and steal it if they were being particularly abusive (they threw chiken nuggets at it and swung it around), wearing it around the school until they realised it was gone.

I feel so bad for that little guy... I took him in for Christmas break (because if I hadn't they'd probably have just left him there) got him some litter, driftwood bits, kleenex and stuff to hide under so he wasn't just sitting in a grungy, empty tank. With great difficulty we even managed to get some mealworms and two crickets for him, but he was already too far gone. He lasted the break and most of January before he finally went belly-up.

God, that class was bad with animals. One of the kids was played hackey-sack with her hamster until it died, another (actually, the one who caught Slithers) whipped a vole against the wall so hard it bled to death, another stepped on the new vole that replaced the old one... I think they killed at least nine class pets that year.

Oh, no Squid, that's horrible!! She played hackey sack with a HAMSTER?!?! Goodness, cruel children need a good backhand and a kick in the pants... and more... I also remember my dad bringing us garter snakes all the time... kept them a couple of days until my mom found out, and then we let them go...

Sweet gecko, fallen!! I agree, let's see more exotic pets!! I'd love to get a bearded dragon... or a carpet python... snakes kick buttocks...

Lasher, your kitties are soo CUTE!! I have a black cat, but he's longhair, and his name is Smokey... I like grey cats, too... but my favorite is calico, or lynx point... I think calicos are really neat looking, and it's interesting that all calicos and tortiseshells are female...

I used to have some pets, but not at the moment... although I do hope to get a dog soon. ^_^

I used to have 2 oriental fire-bellied toads, an Australian dumpy frog, and a few of those small little green tree frogs. My toads' names were Flame and Strawberry, and my dumpy frog was Jade. I miss them. . . . . Had to give them away when I moved from Arizona because they would have died on the plane or the moving van.

This isn't my toad, but it's what a fire-bellied toad looks like:

And here's how they get their name:

Australian dumpy frog (also known as the white tree frog):

Ain't they cute? Very Happy

Aww, carter, she's cute.

I see she's adjusting and getting along with tommy now ^_^ that makes me really happy to see them laying together. He really is a sweetie and friendly, i'm glad she got use to him. I'd be a little worried if she was still attacking and hissing at him, lol. Poor tommy, he just wants a little luv and someone to keep warm with. The pic reminds me of one we have of Baggies and my mom's cat spazz when she was a kitten. Bags was not a big cat, he was the perfect size, but in that pic spazz makes him look huge because how tiny she was, lol.

Cute.

UPDATE! I might be getting me a german shepard in a few months! If we do infact move! I'm getting one, if not two german shepard puppies, i'm soooooo happy! *jumps around screaming*

You had to ask didn't you. I have a huge f**king list of names i would name my dogs. All of these are male dog names. It's hard for me to come up or find names for females that i really like. I plan on getting a male german Sheperd any how first off. If we get two, might get a female, or i might just get to males. Although, it would be best protection wise to have one of both sex. It's a fact that German Sheperds guard differently in situations. If something arises they don't like, the male is likely to go off and hunt or track down the problem to prevent it from getting near it's owner or whatever it's protecting while the female will stay with whatever or whoever she is protecting and will be more willing to fight or attack at home whiel the male perfer to do so away. So, if i had both, i'd have a dog more willing to go out and keep whatever away and guard and protect while the female would stay with me or at home and do her job there. The best of Both words, just how i like it.

Male names: Hunter, Sarge, Ash, Harley, Bailey, Kane, Tank, Diesel, Dallas, Chase, Duke, West, Bear, Fargo, Red, Harvey, Mylo, Mace, Mason, Heineken, Nixon (not after that president i hate that guy) Boston, Reno, Hugo, Bentley, Motley, Moscow, Rosco, Titan, Atlas

Those are the ones i like most. lol. Enough for a life time of dogs. Then again it's been a dream of mine for years now that if i ever get the money for it, to have my own personal kennel and have a bunch of dogs, of course the German Sheperds as my favorites but also dobermen, rotweiler, boxers, bullmastiff, siberian husky (a much, much larger breed of the husky, huge dogs, my vet in the UK had one nad he was beautiful!) among many others and s**t.

My bro would love to get a German Shepard...my grandparents had one, a police dog who got kicked out of the academy 'cause she was too nice Very Happy But we only have a Siberian Husky at the moment, and I've adopted a kitty named Snowball. She doesn't look like a snowball, though....We used to have a mutt, as he was of unspecified origins and he looked really funny. He was probably bigger than my husky and he still sat on us -.-;

My experiences with pets...oh goodness >.>

My mom is a dog person. She had a doberman named Shallamar that I got in a few fights with...and a slobbering stupid labrodore (sp?) but since she never took the time to train them, she got rid of them and bought a tony toy rat terrier. I would smack the bouncy, jingly, nibbly thing if I thought I wouldn't break it >.>

I am a cat person. My cat kratz looks like the earlier one with the santa hat ^.^ Except she got really really fat, and she can't clean herself, so my mom made me give her to my cousin (NauticalNymph). She likes to cuddle under my covers and has the most annoying mew (aka MOOOOOOOOW) in the world.

Nymph also had one of those satanic lovebirds....strangely, her name was 'Asi'...coincidence? I think not....>.> it made noises like a chainsaw in the middle of the night, growled, gave the evil eye, and danced in front of the mirror to the "I'm too sexy" song.

I have two cats:
Maus (which is German for mouse, no I am not german, but the name fits him so well) he is the black and white one and Luca.
I also had three gerbils, but they died recently *sniff*

Overall I must say I'm a big catlover, so I will always have cats as a pet.

And yes: those are my feet..

Aww...Everyone's pets are so cute! Let's see..I used to have 2 cats when I was 6 one was a girl named "Little Lady" and the other was a male named "Andrew". It was funny when Little Lady would go on the tip top of our fence and tease the neighbors dogs! Little Lady was black and white and I think had blue or yellow green eyes. Andrew was like oranges with strips, like normal male cats. But when I was 9 we had to put Andrew to sleep Sad

God I cryed really had...And Little Lady had ran away. Sad Then when I was 8 or 7 before we had to put Andrew to sleep I had a white cat named "Goldie" We called her that because she had golden eyes. She ran away when I was 9. Sad And then when I was 10 I got and still have a short haired hamster named "Peek-A-Boo"! God is Peek-A-Boo lazy...And my little sister has a short haired hamster named "Penut" Penut is alittle powdery white while Peek-A-Boo is white, orange, and black. Penut is soo lazy! And he's really fat! I call him FatButt, FatAss and more funny names!

I'll think about putting some pictures of Peek-A-Boo or Penut. Smile
