Yeah, a FAC con would be awesome, but people are so spread out...
I'm sure if someone contacted the chair of an existing con they would help arrange a room for us to meet. Tekkoshocon had a meet and greet time for the members of their forums last year, they might do something for us.
Tekko is the con in Pittsburgh, btw. Small but growing every year! (Must pimp con... )
Lasher's idea could work, get rooms for a couple hours at existing cons across the country. Maybe bigger, established cons would be best, like Anime Expo and Otakon. Personally, I could probably only make it to Tekko or Otakon. Actually, for Tekko the con chair is a friend of a friend, I don't know her well but I might be able to do something. Anyone else in a position to come to Tekko? Probably to late this year to get a room but we could arrange a meeting time on the forums and just meet up. |

I say we should get a list of people who want to have a con, and a list of the cons they could actually go to. Then we could have a group of dragon con people, a group of san diego people, etc.
Think that's a good idea..? Like, for in a year or something..? |

Far away? How about another continent?
Ah well there is only a small group of people I'd like to meet, so a convention would be a little too much. |

Well... as said before. It wouldn't be a full convention. It would be a table at an already-created con. |
Hey, i just got a great idea: Flea, you could totaly play a gig at the con! It would be sweet ^_^
Could and would, but an FAC con would have to be at a universal location where everyone could go. Charleston isn't there. Plus, someone must pay.
But the new drummer lied on us, so guess what.......
Inside Out is again searching for a drummer. _________________ Not all who wander are lost.

::Sighs:: A FAC Con would be Cool....
But alas....
I couldn't go....
1)Because I'm 11
2)Because my Parents would Kill me before I even had a chace to go
3)Can never travel alone
4)I live in Texas T_T
Thats why I could never go atleast until I'm 16 or 17... _________________ "Don't Worry, Just Because I Don't Talk to You, Doesn't mean I Hate You!"

If there are enough people in the area that are willing to participate I'd be more then willing to attempt to set up a FAC panel at AnimeBoston 05 _________________
I love Canadian accents. Sorry, way off topic, but I had to say it.
 Is that right, eh?? Beauty... *grin* It's funny to hear people say they like Canadian accents, because I just don't consider myself as having an accent... *shrug* That, and I think that's actually the first time I've heard someone say they like Canadian accents, it's usually just made fun of...

If it was settled up in the New York area(by which I mean New York, New York), I could get there.
But, the band? No. Me go solo?
YEAH BABY.

Well, I may be moving to the Toronto, Ontario area... So if it was at that anime-thingermabobber in Toronto, I would definitely be able to come... and perhaps New York, I could do a road trip... *grin* And Flea going solo?? I'd have to be there for that... *grin* |

I'm doing better. Held a little "concert" for my ROTC unit. They liked my Zeppelin and my Guns N' Roses. My improvised solos and my own work got plenty of smiles and "whoas". I am proud to inform you that the cheerleaders and rappers even liked it when I played some Red Hot Chili Peppers and some Rage Against the Machine.
I was kicked out of the cafeteria accordingly, but I had a damn good show going on. _________________ Not all who wander are lost.

DG you're right near me! XD
I'd love to go to AnimeBoston 05, but I can't get tickets ;_;
Plus I can only imagine what that converstion would go like:
Me: Mom, Dad, can I go to AnimeBoston and meet DG-sama?
Parents: Who's DG-sama
Me: Um...a friend on the internet.
Parents: WHAT?!
*boom* grounded for life. Computer thrown out the window. >> |

Really? I think you should e-mail each other photos and bios and say you're e-mail pen pals.

That's actually a good idea Flea o.o
And it's not really overly difficult to get tickets to AB05 Last year they were only $35 dollars each if you registered a couple of months ahead of time on their site. It's the hotel room that's a killer($100 dollars for me last year). But even then it's not so bad if you get a two person room and share it with two to four other friends. Tis what I did last year. Though this coming year I have a feeling only one other person is coming with me so I'll have to start looking for one or two other roommates so it doesn't cost as much.
And I can put on the appearance of a very reponsable person. I'd put on my "good little collage girl" outfit: white Oxford shirt, olive green sweatervest, and neatly pressed khakis... anyone trusts me when I look so studentish... XD and seconds later I can perforn a quick change act and be wearing some sort of bizzare cosplay outfit! I would love to have the chance to go to a FAC convention...
But the problem of me living here in England kinda knocks that outta the water....... "
Life can be so cruel.
To hear a funkay band play *bangs head*
Owi *rubs head*
But even if i could go to America, I'd have to end up going to ask my mum and dad. Lets have alittle gist of the convosation....
me: hello mum .....dad!! *happy face* could I go to a convention??
mum: what kind would that be??
dad: no!
me: for FAC.... to some online friends
.....and it much ends up like LLD's, even though im 14 i still have to tell my mum and dad where i go *grunts*
Maybe I'll hop outta the window and highjack some hovercraft or someort *ponders* |

You know what would be a good idea?? Make a poll, with various locations that people could meet up, and see what kind of response there is... to see how many people can meet up where... I would really like to see something happen, because now that I'm moving, I could probably make it to Toronto or New York... |

LOL. ya, I don't consider I have an accent either... anyway, I dont' say "eh" either. I don't 'eat bacon, and I've never said "beauty" in that way. lol. I am proud!!! But, it can still be amusing to make fun of my own country at times....
K. So, a lot of messages appeared over the last little while here....
And, all I have to say is what I've said before:
We probably will not do it for a year or two!!! So, don't worry if you're 12 or 11 or.. whatever. lol. Cuz, you might have more of a chance in a couple years if you're still on here.
And one more thing:
A poll is a really good idea. How 'bout people list conventions and I'll the put them all in a poll..?
