Hi, has anyone read the Onion article on him? It talks about as if he is a serious visionary artist. If you like Weird Al, it's out there. (I love the Onion) |

oo weird al rocks my socks! i have his boxed set al in a box, running with scissors, and the semi-autobiographical movie the compleat al, so i know a lot of his oulder stuff. lol erm i am obviously way behind on his new stuff tho, since i don't recognize half of the songs you listed. ah well. i must get poodle hat (heard many of the songs from it, just haven't made the effort to buy it yet).
did anyone see the new special episode of altv they made for the release of poodle hat? i've always wanted to see altv (i've only seen clips of it) and i was ecstatic when i saw it on mtv over the summer. it was so incredibly funny- he did all these fake interviews with avril lavigne, celine dion, justin timberlake, and eminem. they also showed a few of his videos- both old and new. ah they reshowed it a couple times and i laughed till i cried every time.
o and err isnt it spelled yankovic? (just checking) _________________ i fought the war, but the war won |

ahahaha that interview was awesome!! lol i loved the "ya see what i'm sayin?" -"i see what you're saying." "ya see what i'm sayin'?" "yes, i see what you're saying!"
ahh but every interview rocked, he is just too cool. i remember i also saw al on some home decorating show, where your favourite singer came and redid some rooms in your house. this guy was a huge weird al fan, and al actually came while the guy was away and redid his house- it was so awesome! he had all these zany colour schemes and a rocket coming out of the ceiling and all this other stuff- it was like a comic book. *le sigh* i wish weird al would come and redo my house... or dave grohl hehehe _________________ i fought the war, but the war won |

Rock the House? I loved that show. Al did one, Sammy Hagar did one (boo! Boo to the Sammy fan! bah, ugly Cabo living room...), and Tommy Lee did an awesome one turning a garage into a "family room" with black leather pillows, red and black walls with flames, and hot devil chick decals. Oh, and a coffee table made out of drums. I remember all the colors Al did. Oh, that Johnny Rzeznik guy did one, too.
Here's the page to the show. They've got pictures of all the transformations. The Tommy one is so awesome. I've seriously considered redoing my room like that ever since I saw it, but I won't be living in it long enough for it to be worthwhile. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C.
