I love Linkin Park just like about everyone else...lol....I just got their cd "meteora" even tho that came out a while ago....right? ya...Don't they have a new cd coming out?? I thought I saw an ad for it in my magazine....its called reanimation....i think

my favorite song is either breaking the habit or nobody's listening....or numb....ok I like al of their songs....

But one thing that I love most about them...it that they don't center all of their songs on love..I am sick of love Grr!

Your info is wrong. Reanimation came out before Meteora.

But wait, they DO center their songs about love. It's the exact same thing. So and so is neglecting them. So and so isn't listening. They're trying to change to conform to so and so's beliefs.

It's old. Extremely old.

My problem with Linkin Park is that practically everyone DOES like them and for what? The same song, over and over again. Lyrics are altered, guitar becomes more basic, and they basically get to rip you off.

Yeah, I admit, I bought Meteora. I listened to one song. I thought "Fine, it's a little depressing, but okay". I switched tracks. Same song with a new title. After 5 other tracks, I was convinced. Their imaginations are shot to Hell.

I think Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols said it best. When people came to their concerts, they would dress EXACTLY like Rotten and Vicious. Rotten said this:

"I'm pissed off at people who fuckin' pose us. It's not your unique style, it's ours. I'm beginning to hate what we've spawned"

Linkin Park seems to take after these bands:

Rage Against the Machine
Nirvana

Poorly. Terribly, in fact. I seriously take complete confidence in my belief that in 5 to 10 years, Linkin Park will have been turned to dust and fade away.

The industry works that way. We're all gonna go someday. Best to go out with a bang than to fade away.

Which is what LP should have done 3 years ago.

Just about everyone over 25 who listens to music do not love them (quite the opposite). They grew up with the real legends and are much harder to impress with a couple power chords and black makeup.

N' yeah, about the Rotten thing... Pick up his book ("Rotten: No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs") n' he talks a lot about that. "Before safety pins were fashionable, and a moth eaten sweater meant poverty not popularity..."

No matter what you ever say, Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix will always come before Linkin Park. They are infinately better and the best out of most.

I didn't know reanimation came out before meteora...whoooops! I not all of their songs were centered on love....I know alot do....Your right about what you said Flea sorryyy!!

No one's saying you can't like them. I like a lot of bands who suck. It's people who like them and say "OMG they're the best band ever!" that are wrong and annoying. Like whatever you want, long as you have a realistic viewpoint of it. Smile

Led Zeppelin rules them all. Best band you will ever hear is Zep. Page's guitar is skilled beyond most all other bands, John Paul Jone's bass is fast and insane, John Boneham is an extremely talented drummer(listen to Moby Dick and you'll hear/see what I mean), and Robert Plant is one talented singer who doesn't sing about depressing lives and how much they suck.
No one listens to the good stuff anymore...it's always the untalented mainstream pop band that gets it... . . . .
