Please don't make them a chatroom Op. I think someone who Ops the chat should have been on the site for atleast a little while and know what's going on. I also think, personally, that we have enough Ops. I'm not really trying to take control, I mean it's Denis's decision in the end. I honestly don't think the job is right for you, kid... |

I think maturity/age should be taken into account when you sign people up to be OPs and stuff.
If the wrong people get a hold of that kind of power.... @.@;; huge mess..... People have to be willing to follow the rules in order to inforce them. I don't know if anyone that's been kicked out/banned should be an OP (depending on their offense, of course) |

Meh, Age doesn't always matter. I'm actually 14 (15 in July) and I was an Op when I was still 13, but I've handled it pretty well so far. Maturity is definately an issue, though. I just think that if we all don't know you well enough to trust you, you shouldn't be one. |

*shrug* I don't know who is/will be the role play room ops (besides one), or if there's still a need for them. Meh. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I'm closing this thread for now as the staff teams have already been decided for the moment.
Approval team is implimented, except powtaz because i haven't seen him on AIM.
Chatroom ops are fine, no new additions for the moment.
Clean up crew will be contacted when the programming is ready.
No new forum mods. _________________ You will obey or molten silver will be poured into your ears. |

I'm reopening this because the approval panel people are having trouble keeping up with the number of submissions.
The category cleanup could also use some more help as it is a very time consuming job.

just a little reminder to thouse who volunteer. If you are put on the approval panel or category clean up (i'd suggest both for anyone as when your around an able to help, there might not be anything needed approving, but there's always category clean up needed if all else is well) that you please talk to someone who's already been on it before just jumping in
And if you are put on, there is a staff section on the site that should become visible to you, which you will want and NEED to look in on when possible for announcments like certain categories being taken care of by someone, or done, etc etc otherwise there will just be confusion, things will be placed where they shouldn't or approved when they shouldn't.
And then i will become extremely annoyed that no one checked in first to help keep that from happening.....that is all..... |

Once Denis puts you on the approval or clean up team, "ONCE" not before as it would be pointless then, you will probably be asked, as the rest of us were, to add all the others on the staff to your aim, yahoo, or msn, whatever you have or they have, that way we can all keep in touch when needed and when more than on of us are on, can help each other make certain dessions if someone has trouble with someone, etc etc.
If you are in fact put onto one of the teams or both, i'd advice any of those put on ot go through FAC, look up the profiles of those already on the staff, and get their usernames for the messenger services, add them to yours, as you may need them in the future. And they'll add you later when they get the chance.
I have work now but i should be off by 6:30 so if your on by then, look in my profile, add me to your messengers, and send me an e-mail letting me now. as soon as i'm off, i'll be around and yes, i'll be more than happy to answer any questions and briefly walk you through some things, as some categories already have been cleaned up, you may not know. And little things like that can make it easy to mess up. I'm one of those people that promotes communication, i have to have communication, and i like to communicate with others, and communicate WELL.
Just as the others, i get quite grumpy when i don't know what's going on around here and thus make a stupid mistake or get asked questions and all i can say "i didn;t know that" so yes, i'd hold off going to work if your put on for the job, until you can talk to someone. The only other person thats on when i am hard core almost always is Kate and she's been having a really rough week so far and has some school related things to tend to, so i don't know how asking her will go as she might be grumpy, might not. So you might want to leave the poor girl alone.
By the way Kate, need a ride to the library? it's snowing here real heavy and the roads are a MESS, but i still got my nice cozy truck in my garage with the 4X4 drive ^_^ *sighs* poor Kate, people better behave and be good to her this week or they'll get suspended like a bitch that's for sure....and if she doesn't do it, i will *looks around* no one should upset poor Kate *sighs* well, i'll be home no later than 6:30 i would think Til then, feel free to e-mail me and such, i'm good with e-mail. Later |

We are NOT looking for anything other than help on the APPROVAL PANEL and CATEGORY CLEAN UP TEAM. The only thing we need now is help on the approval panel to keep it from backing up. We can't be online on day long, let alone on this site looking at panel to see if it's getting to backed up. A few people on the panel are loaded down with school work, their jobs and such and sometimes we can make due, but others we just need more help plain and simple. This doesn't mean though in two months or so that you'll always been approving something everday, regularly. Sometimes we get a flood of submissions, sometimes we don't. And take into consideration that right now, a lot of the staff is busy (at this period of time) with personal life matters they have to attend to before the site. That doesn't mean in two months down the road we'll still be real busy. So keep in mind, some months will be busy with work, ando thers will be like a dessert with no submission to be seen.
Again, we DO NOT need any Op's, Forums Moderaters, Site Moderaters. The only thing we are in need of is volunteers for the Approval Panel and Category Clean Up.
Category clean up with take months, yes, months and months before it starts getting noticably in place and sorted out. But Approval Panel comes before category clean up. If there are twenty submissions waiting for approval, you tend to that before category clean up. When there's not much else to do, clean to your hearts content.
So please, don't ask for Op positions or moderator positions on FAC as we don't need anymore for the moment. And if we ever do, i'm sure Denis would start asking for volunteers and looking into possible helpers in that section, but right now, they just aren't needed.
That's All, just please make sure to read what is said carefully in here, we don't need anyone getting confused and then the whole conversation being thrown in the opposite direction. |

I can refuse pics if I noticed they are reproduced images or traced images, right? |

Denis would probably be okay with starting quality control now. He said we could as soon as we got some rules together, which I did I can't really help out much this week. I'm jammed packed with algebra homework. I hate square roots. I have about a hundred problems from missing ONE day this week. This is so ghetto... |

We're getting opinions on the volunteers now.
I think almost everyone's given their 2 cents so we should have a final verdict soon n.n
oh god I cannot WAIT for the Quality controls to come in okay T.T so much crap...have to bite lip...
Nicole I'd be more than happy to see you on the AP team n.n I know you'd do a great job!!! (especially once the QC goes into effect) I think you're one of the only people to have given me helpful criticism n.n you're awesome.
I think I've got a good idea of all the volunteers sans one. I think we got some good peoples here n.n good good peoples.
@.@ glad we're gettin' them too. I feel lousy cuz I haven't been able to do anything except after work and school way waaaaaay late at night. ...where there's not as much to do. sorry guys n.n;; I'm getting a regular schedule soon (new job starting to settle in) |
