My brother one time came up with this cool Idea. As I saw both Spiderman 2 and X-men 2 and thought which one would win in a sparing match. I will leave this pole up for a few days and see what I get as a result.

Spiderman: strength, webbing, spider sense, agility, wall crawling

Nightcrawler: agility, teleport, wall crawling

Conclusion: Nightcrawlers teleport on its own is a tough to get past, but Spidermans spider since might help in this. Nightcrawlers agility is good but not as good as Spidermans, but yet again Nightcrawlers teleport will be a hard one to get past. Well I will leave this one up to the pole anyway; it will help if any of you saw both movies to help decide.

Ha, no contest. Spider sense or no, Nightcrawler could knock Spiderman out five times before he even hits the ground. He's done it, going along a line of guards or whatever and knocking out all of them before the first man hits the ground. I don't know if they used that in the movie or not, but that's my favorite of his tricks in the comics. The Spidey sense wouldn't help cause he would have no way of knowing where Kurt would appear next!

And personally I think Nightcrawler would be just as agile as Spidey, he did work in the circus after all. Plus he's got the prehensile tail, which Spidey doesn't. No contest. Cool

...Can you tell Nightcrawler's my favorite Marvel character? Laughing

Oh Jesus, don't make me choose. Sad

You have picked my two most favorite superheroes and are forcing me to decide between them. That's like asking a parent which child they like best. But let us look at this from the technical viewpoint:

Spiderman has his super-human strength and agility, his web-swinging prowess, an ability to stick to walls, and his not so canny sider-sense.

Nightcawler matches spierman's agility and wall crawling ability, but lacks the strength. He more than makes up for that with his "bamphing" ability, teleporting anywhere instantaniousely.

Now, i dissagree with thirteen_black_roses when she said that nightcrawler could bamph and hit spidey before the web-slinger could react. This is why the man has "spider-sense", to defend against sudden attacks, and combined with his agility, it is very probabe that he could dodge the attack and return with a much harder blow. However, nightcrawler is just as agile, and could dodge and bamph his way out of any punch spidey would swing at him.

In the end, I call it a draw, neither haveing the upper hand on the other. Spidey's increased stength might give him a slight edge, but in the end this fight is really up for grabs. Lets throw in another element, like having the fight take place at a midget mud wrestling tourney or something with the two in nothing but pink speedos. Razz

Now, I don't know about that. Could the spidy sense really detect an attack like that? Sure it can detect a punch from behind, but could it tell him where Kurt was teleporting to? I don't know about that. I'm inclined to say know. Still, Spidy might be able to detect the attack before it hit, but would the warning come soon enough for him to dodge? And I doubt think a counter attack would be able to hit Kurt, I've seen him do a string of punches like that and he pretty much punches as he bamfs in, then bamfs out as soon as it hits. I'm pretty sure he'd be gone before Spidy could swing. Hmmm....I wonder if this fight has ever/would ever take place...I know Spidy's run into the X-men before, just don't know if Kurt was there...

Personally I think Nightcrawler's speed (the teleporting) kinda negates Spidy's strength, can't hurt what you can't hit.

True, but Spidey's speed is just as much a match as Nightcrawler's. Keep in mind, Nightcrawler is one of my favorite super heros, so I know all about the strings of *Bamph!* *Punch!* *Bamph!* *Punch!* ^_^

But I cannot honestly say who I think would win this fight. I might say nightcrawler just because so much s**t happens in the life of Spiderman that getting his ass kicked is kinda a regular thing (just look at the Maximum Carnage story, Spidey basically played the part of Carnage and Venom's punching bag Razz )

Spiderman is more the down to earth type of guy who would use the surrounding to his advantage, and that would give him the edge.

But Vegeta would OWN both of them together.

If there were such a fight in the comic world this one would be one of the most climatic duels ever. But I have to say that Spiderman is pretty durable and can take a good beating as well is stronger, id question Kurts durability. But if Kurt knows how to stay on his toes and does not mess up then he might do ok. If Kurt was looseing he could make a hasty retreat to regroup. Spider man is perty smart too so he might be able to trick Kurt in teleporting into a web or something that spiderman sets up some were. Kurt on the other hand his a good fence men so he is profistion with fencing swords. That might show Spiderman the point.
