Here's a list of mine:

"How Do I Live"- LeeAnn Rimes
"Kokomo"-Beach Boys
"I Will Survive"-Gloria Gaynor
"Crush"-Jennifer Paige
"Fancy"-Reba
Any songs by the Four Seasons(I just love the beats that go with their music!)

((That's about all I can think of right now...what about the rest of you guys?))

Basically...all my favorite songs are "old". But I'll throw "Coma" (Guns n' Roses) and "Babylon" (Faster Pussycat) out there for starters.

Like Fallen said, most of the music I like would be considered 'old' now. But here are some of my favs -

"Rock and Roll Suicide" - Bowie ...well, basically anything Bowie, especially off "Ziggy Stardust."

"If I was your woman," "Midnight Train to Georgia," and "I heard it through the grapevine" performed by Gladys Night and the Pips.

"The very thought of you" - Billy Holiday

And basically anything Marvin Gaye (Ohhh..."let's stay together"), Cyndi Lauper (not so old - well, maybe now, I guess. heh. It has been almost twenty years, hasn't it?), Queen, ELO...

I'll stop now.

One of my favorites is 99 red ballons by Nena, either German or English version, both are cool (my favorite radio station actually does a pretty good remix of the song using the lyrics from both versions)

You know, if I can remember some of those the first time round I certainly wouldn't count them as old. It's not as if my bones are creaking.

But for my choices....

Elvis Costello and the Attractions - Oliver's Army
Jona Lewie - Stop the Cavalry
Ian Drury and the Blockheads - Hit Me with your Rhythm Stick
Ben E King - Stand by Me
The Who - My Generation
Steve Harley - Come Up and See Me (Make Me Smile) - which I am now, of course, singing. My neighbours must love me.

Anything by the Beatles (Ringo's new book is, naturally, on my Christmas list). A fair bit of Bowie's stuff. And it's only because I refuse to count them as oldies that Blur and/or Oasis aren't on the list somewhere.

Aw, you hate Sweet Child? But aren't desperate cries of "omg please don't leave me!" funny, coming from psychopaths? Razz

It got annoying after 13 times. Even Slash hates it with a passion. I understand why now. WTF?

Slash hated it before it existed. He always thought it was corny and sucked. Not that I disagree with him, but I've always found the song thoroughly amusing. Plus Slash hates a lot of things I like. Like anything after Lies. Rolling eyes (though the fact he was so quick to defend Axl about One In A Million and is now saying he didn't like it annoys me...)

He used the same riff practically in "Loving the Alien". I noticed there are similarities in both songs. Weird...
