So How'd You Learn Your Abc's?

So I've been trying to find some old childhood books my mom used to read me.

It was this big storybook and it was fairly bizarre. I finally found the author, Edward Gorey, and found the ABC story we used to read n.n the Gashlycrumb Tinies.

I love this guy! As a kid it creeped me out (why my mother read us these...I'll never know lol)

Wow, those are really creepy...I'd never seen that before, but the art style looks familiar...

Well, I wasn't a fan before, but I think I might be now!

And...why [i]would[/i] anyone read these to a small child...give them nightmares...

lol n.n yeah it was the artist who did that animation for the "Masterpiece Theatre" opening n.n lol *random factoid*

but yeah! I loved those stories as a kid!
My favorite was this one where this tiger...dragon...thing was hunting down these kids and eating them @.@;;;;;
I'm surprised I'm not really f**ked up lol

My English teacher for my Junior year had a big poster of those on her wall... I wonder if she was sending us some sort of message... o.o
