haha i have a friend that loves all disney movies! [even the ones on the disney channel...i dont like those but i like the movies that they make in the theater!] i love it when disney makes a movie with Pixar [spelling?] i like 3-D stuff! my fave movie [besides the south park movie] is The Incredibles!!! I LOVE VIOLET! SHES PRUTTY!! ... i like to draw stuff too!!!! i dont draw it very much anymore, but i used to rock at drawing Lilo & Stitch!!!
but when it all rolls down on it, i agree with Fahari. i think the quality of disney movies that are animated [not 3-D] are slowly getting worse! which is sad, cuase i like disney! i think that when disney works with a different company it is better. but that is just my opinion.
and yesh pussy cat in boots is one of the best characters ever made! |

I like when Disney partners up with Pixar. I'm a real sucker for good 3D animation. Plus, there's always ABC. Some of ABC's stuff is pretty good, like "Who's Line". Funny show. _________________ |

"whos line" is a great show. i love the ones hosted by drew carrey (sp?). the old british-esque ones arent bad either, but they dont seem as "hip" as with wayne bradey (sp?) on the show.
i wouldnt say im a disney fanatic, but then again, ive long grown out of it. however, their pixar animations (along with all the other 3d animation movies out there) are godly. they suprisingly appeal to just about every demographic you can think of. young and old, toddler and senior.
i know "the incredibles" isnt a disney movie, but its simply an excellent movie created by wb and pixar. (actually, mostly created by warner, wb gave it to pixar to polish it.) its really entertaining, no matter what goofy gag they throw at you. the action and humor is really fast-paced too, not something youd find in a normal comedy. plus the voice acting is excellent, especially for buddy (or syndrome, whatever).
yup, im a real sucker for those 3d animation movies. but arent we all? |

I quite like UK Whose Line. All the people I really dig (Tony ) without any of the ones I can't stand (*cough*Kathy Greenwood*cough*cough*).
I...don't like Pixar movies. (this thread was too one sided, and you know it) Not that Disney has put out anything spectacular recently, either. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

ive been there! i was there when they had the "mummies revenge" haunted house thing. that scared the crap out of me. they had guys dressed up in zombie mummy costumes that would chase you around the corridors and stuff. or sometimes theyd follow you around or jump out from dark corners. yeah, theyre freaks. i even convinced my friend to kneel down and peer inside of a hole in the wall. it was whispering "come here, look" or something. haha, scared the s**t out of him. ^_^
i really could care less about the movies theyre releasing (or have released). sure winnie the pooh was nice and all, but that was ten years ago. i know it isnt incredibly recent, but "pirates of the caribbean" is definately one of the highlight disney movies that deserves recognition.
warner definately has the better stuff, like "oceans eleven/twelve," "alexander," "harry potter" (gotta love over-hyped kid movies), "matrix," "troy" and the "terminator" movies. i definately prefer warner brothers over disney. B)
edit: correction to one of my posts, as it turns out, "the incredibles" is listed as a disney movie. who knew? i read somewhere that it was created by some people down at warner and had second thoughts, so they gave it to pixar to touch up and polish. i guess disney took this as an opportunity to earn some easy cash ($140 mill in the first week, not bad) so they bought the rights to the film. i dont know, im confused already...

I have a couple of Disney drawings. (Mulan and Belle). My favorite Disney movie is The Great Mouse Detective, though. It's a totally underrated mvie, IMO. _________________ |

The only Disney movie that I love is Treasure Planet. To me, it's the only Disney movie that isn't filled with dumb sillyness. All the funny parts are actually funny. |
.I think the quallity of disney movies have been decreasing

I'm a really big fan of The Lion King (though I love Alladin, Beauty and The Beast and The Little Mermaid very very very much also)
You do know those are all recent?
I think the film quality has, on the whole, improved. There have been some rotten ones in the past ten years, but there were plenty of rotten ones before that... it's just we remember the more recent ones better. When you compare the good films then I reckon Disney are still doing well. One the whole, the music's better, the films are funnier and personally I like the stories and the varying styles they use now. They'll never match up to the nostalgia we hold for the old films, so they've done well not to try too hard.
But to answer the original question... I like Disney too |
