Just saw it, and decided it was thread worthy. I think Micheal Moore really made it certain that if George Bush wasnt elected then maybe 9/11 would'nt have happened.
I am looking foreward to seeing farenhype 911 (or whatever the counter movie is called) and the other spoof to see how they backfired it.
What are your opinions on this movie? |

I speak for the entire populous when I say, "That statement is full of bullshit."
Besides, it was made by a angry, fat French guy.
Now go watch a real movie like Team America. You'll learn a lot from it. |

I'm looking forward to Fahrenhype 9/11.
I think Clinton was in part responsible for 9/11. The terrorists where planning this while he was in office, but he was too busy with his own personal issues to focus on the state of the nation. (ie: Monica, impeachment, etc...) _________________ |

I like it in theory. Actually watching it drove me out of my mind with boredom (assignment), but the idea of it I like. And it had some good parts. Even if it's not entirely true and slanted with Moore's opinion, I like and agree with a lot of what it points out about Bush. Plus I like Moore. You don't like what he thinks, fuck you he doesn't care. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

i liked it. i think it was well done, and presenting it in a humorous way made it more interesting. even though it was obviously biased, i think moore made many good points, plus most of it was true. you can't deny the facts of things bush did and said. he was just trying to show the world many of the things that have been hidden from the public, or that they may not have been aware of.
plus, as fallen said, i like moore. he has original ways of presenting his opinions and tries to change things for the better. being fat and french have nothing to do with anything (i didn't even know he was french... his hometown is in michigan). i've been watching his cancelled tv show the awful truth lately. really funny stuff if anyone can get their hands on the dvds. _________________ i fought the war, but the war won |

It amazes me how many people think Moore cares what anyone else thinks. He put out a film (multiple ones, but for the sake of this thread being about a single one) of his own personal views. He put out the situation as he sees it. So what's the problem? No one said everything always has to be fair or dry facts, so take it for what it is. Whether you agree with his point of view or not, that's still his point of view, and he can put it out there all he wants. People's reaction to it is their choice, but his point is to get it out there, and he's done a damn good job of that. A good percentage of the population know who he is and are familiar with his work. I don't think his intent was ever to persuade the masses to his viewpoint; there are better ways to do that. He expressed his opinions in the way he wanted. Takes balls.

I really liked the movie, after watching it i thought that maybe it wouldnt be a bad idea to read his book "Stupid White Men"; which was also very well put out.
all i can say is that if you like what michael moore has to say, READ THE BOOK and go a whole step further. its not all about bush though, its about everything; basicle about every stupid white man there is that he knows of. he goes on about why he hates resycling and why he shits himself every time he sees a white man headding towards him, he also tells us how to not be racist and how to kiss ass not kick it. but as said by another persons reply to this thread "dont bother saying you dont like what he has to say cos you'll just be taking to your self".
read the book, it may be a bit oput of date being writ in early 2001 and mainly for americans. i read it and im a New Zealander but i just wanted to hear what he had to say. nothing more nothing less. |

he's written several other books too. uh dude where's my country and i think maybe two others, and obviously has other documentaries. but what i've been into lately is his cancelled show the awful truth. it's really funny and informative. basically he goes around addressing different issues in different ways, crazy antics ensue, and laughs resound. i have seasons one and two on dvd, and you can probably rent them if anyone's interested. _________________ i fought the war, but the war won |

gee, no s**t sherlock. oh i thought we would go on about how bush was so great.
from what i heard, the entire documentary was just of moore's lies. basically, from what i hear, it's better to just watch hannity and commes (sp?) on cnn or whatever than waste $8 to watch f9/11.
i have no desire to watch it anyway. there's so many better documentaries like "super size me" and... well yeah that's about it. |

It definitely isn't all lies. A lot, if not most, of it is facts. People just don't like the way Moore presents it and his commentary about it. What Bush did isn't false. The way Moore talks about it and his interpretation is, of course, his opinion. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
