Ugh, yah I know how this feels.
To have sooo many views and no comments. T_T and to have spent soo much time on a piece of art. I think every piece of art deserves at least one comment.
The only stuff i have that gets lots of comments are my pictures from 'popular' series. Aka, my teen titans picture. >< that really buggers me.

Give your posts a 24-hour waiting period before you check back to see if anybody has responded. Not one of us checks the board 24-7, we check it only when we find the time to.

Okay, you asked how to upload your pictures after scanning them, right? First you need to save/export/convert them to (preferably) JPEG or GIF format -- JPEG works great for most scanned stuff, GIF works good for most pixel art.

From there, go to the FAC main page, www.fanart-central.net . Log in. Then click on the button called "Add Fanwork" and follow the steps for uploading from your computer. Once you're done you will receive a message saying that the drawing "has been queued for approval". We have a group of staff who attend regularly to review new submissions and approve/reject them based on some easy criteria (basically, no stolen/copied/traced/official art, no lined paper).

We're not very fond of people drawing on lined notebook paper around here. It's possible to filter or erase them from the drawing using photoshop programs (but a little tedious), so please do your work on non-lined paper. Grab a spare sheet from the printer or something, plain paper isn't hard to come by. Heck, you can buy printer paper in reams of 500 for less than $10 (less than 2 cents per sheet), so don't even think about griping that "I can't get plain paper" because we've heard it all before.
