Well damn him still. Darn pretty boy punk bastards.......
I'm sorry Akita, but Good Charlotte is highly over-rated. About as over-rated as... say.... Evanescence. Whining about life is just stupid. We all know life is hard, and your life isn't all too different than ours, other than your money, looks, and fame. I say: why bitch about life when you can make life bitchin'?
I mean, don't tell me how much life sucks because there are some aspects in which it just doesn't.
I mean, Avril and all those punk pop posers are telling us what we should already know. Why is it the rich OC kiddies hype it up first? Weezer, Good Charlotte, Avril Lavigne... I've found that around every Californian I meet loves one of the above and advertises heavily(rock fan, and I know there are more fans of the good stuff, but all I meet here are the fans of punk pop).
It's come that the bad crap is considered the best, and the best is considered the bad crap. Not fun. Not good. My band focuses on what we see in high school. So...go figure, we write our lyrics based on:
Observation: dealers, junkies, sexaholics, amusement(tons of this)
Actions: Our pranks(flipped off my jazz band teacher while given the excuse that I was strumming and couldn't help it), girls we've noticed(wait 'til we're 16 and can sing about the stuff you DIDN'T know about)
Reality: World is a little fucked, what's a better way to get ready for it all by playing tunes about sex, drugs, booze, and everything you know people want.
And when we're older, it'll be more like Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver. Maybe some spiritual stuff like Led Zeppelin would be good. I'm liking the options.
Thing is, we can't well sing about stuff we haven't experienced. So...sex is out.
We all know sex sells, so damn.
Looks like drugs, booze, and insanity is what I have to work with. Time for FUN with life. Laugh in its face and actually LIVE. _________________ Not all who wander are lost.

I like Good Charlotte, and to answer the actual topic- I have the CD and I like it. I just got into Good Charlotte last year, but I recommend this CD for people who like Good Charlotte. I said 'I' alot, how selfish! |

Why would you listen to Bad Charlotte when there is The Beatles, The Who, Bob Dylan, and Joni Mitchell just to name a few? _________________ |

The classics inspired the people who inspired the people who inspired the people who inspired the people who inspired the people who create the new music.
You will realize that the days have come where no one knows where they come from anymore.
Except for people who listen to the classics. Zeppelin, Guns, Crue, Skynyrd, The Who, Jimi...
We know where we come from.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with old music!(hugs Beatles record, I spin lots of vinl, but i don't know how to spell vinyl..I'm a loser!) But we all have our personal preferrences when it comes to music. As for me, i like anything from Johnny Cash to well, Good Charlotte (Green Days my favorite!). But I don't like Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Justin Timberlake, Nsync, or Hip Hop-TIS A LOT OF CRAP!! But nobodys gonna change my opinion, and you can call GC or me or any band I like any names AND I WON'T GIVE A s**t!! I'm my own person and noboy's gonna change me. I'm not mad at anybody just voicing my opinion. |

That's fine and dandy, but our opinions are our own. You know how many Billy humpers want people who listen to Led Zeppelin and Guns N' Roses to listen to their stuff just cause it's so "true"?
It isn't and I prefer my tastes. Peer pressure doesn't affect me either. _________________ Not all who wander are lost.
