And Jrock. Oh yeah. _________________

Oldish stuff. Indie. Jazz. They're all good.
And to be camp, I love musicals Particularly Les Mis, although I'm really looking forwards to seeing the Phantom film.
On the classical side I like Bach and Tchaikofsky. And yes, I do know I spelt that wrong.

My cd's consist of rock, but I like others- my taste expands over many different varieties of music, like some 90's pop, 80's rock, classical music, modern rock of any sort, SOME but NOT lots of rap, and anything happy. oh- and jazz. _________________ <MARQUEE>

For me, the best music to relax to would have to be from 70-80s rock bands like:
Guns 'n Roses
Aerosmith
AC/DC
Black Sabbath
Judas Priest
Van Halen
Stone Temple Pilots
Black Sabbath
Ozzy Osbourne (not a band, I know but I like his music a lot too)
Also, I actually enjoy listening to bands from this day and age like:
Velvet Revolver (Thats a big DUH! of course. Lol!)
Green Day
Papa Roach
Lost Prophets
Yellowcard (if any of my metelhead friends found out that I have their CD, they'd either disown me or just accuse me of being another MTV junkie. Lol! )
I'm definetly not a fan of rap. Although Eminem's new song, "My Toy Soldiers" seems to have left a soft spot in my heart. Dunno why but it does. I cannot tolerate cheesy pop songs though. They just annoy me and you can just tell that its not their real voices singing. *CoughBRITANNY SPEARScough* But this is just my opinion.
Of course I love to listen to classical music! It just relaxes me no matter how mad I might've been before. I even have a favorite type. I love listening to classical piano the most. This is because in my Theater group a friend of mine can play the piano like no body's buisiness. We did a performance two weeks ago and before every performance he'd play some calming songs to keep us relaxed. It really left an impact on me, watching him play and all. There is really nothing like walking backstage and then all of a sudden you hear "Hark Harold The Angels Sing" playing throughout the theater and you go on stage and there's this guy just in his own world playing this beautiful tune and whatever you were about to do, you just forget about it for a moment and just sit beside him and close your eyes and just become enveloped within the song. *Dreamy sigh* That, to me, is the best kind of music.
Oh my God! I'm so sorry! That turned into one big rave. I'm sorry if that was a bit much. I guess now you all know how I really feel about classical music. Lol! And can you actually believe that less than two years ago, I couldn't stand it? But I was still an MTV junkie then and wasn't converted so you'll have to forgive me. Lol! ^_^
Oh! One more genre and I'll leave you all alone. I adore the musical, Phantom of the Oprea so any music from there is just awesome to me. I can't wait for the movie to come out. They better keep it true to the musical otherwise I'm gonna be royally peeved off.
Well, I've said my two cents. You all have really great taste in music, I have to say. Now I don't feel so alone with liking classical music. Lol!

I listen to mostly 60s-70s classic rock (The Beatles, The Kinks, Bob Dylan, The Who, the Doors, etc) and some old punk. (Clash, Ramones, etc)
I also like Green Day, No Doubt and Avril Lavigne. (and no, I do not think Avril is punk. No true fan does.) _________________ |

You gotta fight...for your right....to paaaaaaartay!
Cuz Im a shallow minded, sex cravin, dont
Care about nothing unless Im getting laid...Party rock band.
I could make all my posts out of song lyrics if I really tried. To translate (although I hate the Beastie Boys), party rock bands are beyond awesome. Think what you will about hair metal, but it's so damn fun. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Maybe because you threaten to brutally destroy people in your sig?

I believe they're added a few more details from the original book (well worth a read by the way), but I can't imagine that they'd dare change the music. I've heard nothing but good of it so far at any rate.

It against the rules and trust me, you're walking on a thin line between staying and going.
If people hate you, well, deal with it.
You know what I like. _________________ Not all who wander are lost.

That kind of question is rather difficult to answer (music really depends on the individual), but someone once said that it's like Japan's stuck in a hole in time and space where everything seems like it's from the 80s [relative to america]. So just imagine 80s rock, and pretend it's in Japanese. XD _________________
