I wouldn't say it's the end of anime, per se.

Maybe it would be a lot more difficult to make money, but I guarantee that anime will never end. After all, it says that a lot of the money it gets is overseas appeal, and number of people who are interested in anime just keeps on rising. And besides, they talk about cels? Most companies now have turned to computer animation, so that's not a big problem anyway.

I think it'll be fine. ^^;

An end to anime? Sad

No, no end to anime not for a very, very long time. Grr!

That's not very fair to the artists who put so much work into the story lines and they don't rep the benifits.

Yeah, it's not fair. Do you think manga artists suffer from those same things, too?

Stop buying american anime. Buy imports so the money goes more directly to the animation company.

How do you tell if the anime is American or imported?

Imported dont have dub tracks.

...Usually dont have subtitles either for that matter, but you can sometimes find online subtitles.

and watch out for hong kong pirated dvds (companies like AIC). Japanese companies get nothing from the sales of those at all.

You mean like uncut? That's the best when they're uncut. ^_^

Is it even legal for hong kong pirated dvds companies to sell other peoples anime?

w00t ^^ according to Denis's words, I help the anime cause! lol

I hate dubs, and I'm just a straight-up Japan-a-phile I get my DVDs from Japan anyway ^^ (helps me practice)

And no T.T The Hong Kong bootlegs aren't legal, per say, but neither were the Spongebob inflatables from BurgerKing that were sold on Ebay Very Happy
