I'm not to sure whatever happened to this idea. And i love the idea personally. And it's good for many reasons. It's a personal thing for good friends and family members. It's a way to express your sense of humor (in my case ) and your feelings for your friends, family etc and let them know, yes, you know they're alive. But it's also great to look back on and find them years later as i have (packing things up for a move, found a whole bunch!) it's fun finding them and rereading them, laughing/smiling to yourself and saying/thinking "hey! i remember that!"
Not to mention it's great when your broke and can't afford presents At least people still know you care and have something to show for it.
I gave some of my friends theirs, with messages personal to them and me inside and such. I practically got sexual assualted after they read them for it
So, did you do them this year, do you do them? Don't you do them? Come on people! It's a huge thing across the pond over in england. Everyones does it there, not to many people around here though. |

Sent them to a variety of online friends who provided me with an address. Those who didn't...too bad for them. Just got real presents for friends in person this year and didn't feel like printing out more cards. Would've included proper presents with the cards, but shipping's a bitch. Ah, let's see, what have I done in the past. Drawing a scene of Santa and elves preparing for christmas with comical famous faces pasted over it. Oh oh! And everyone know the "Dog and Pony Show" episode of the Drew Carey Show? Where Drew, Larry, Mr. Wick, Oswald, and Lewis plan on stripping at the Warsaw, and the show ends with them stripping before the council? And the last shot is them with the mics blocking their asses from the camera? I used that picture on the back of my cards once.
Nekkid Diedrich Bader and Craig Ferguson... (Oswald and Mr. Wick respectively)
But this year there was no nudity. Sad. Next year. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Providing my finacial status next year, a few people i know online may be getting some sort of present. I promised Jay one long ago that i'm still set on getting.
But yeah, i sent out a bunch, not as much as i'd like but i lost a lot of address wit hthe moving and all. So i did my best. I know Jay got his from me, he liked it. Did you? hmm, i forgot to ask everyone. lol. |

Kitty! I laughed and laughed... Then my father gave me a weird look and asked what was so funny. Then he laughed. And we both laughed. Then he wanted to see the inside, and I said no.
And Lasher knows why. Not that I'd have cared, it just wasn't worth explaining to him. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Wow, you really liked it then? I thought it was funny cute, and probably hysterical if i were high and looking at it. And sort of reminded me of something i'd come up with and draw, and with my having three cats that are pyscho's. lol.
Everytime i look at one of them and read the front, i picture this cat talking like in the old western movies sort of tone. It doesn't help, i no, but i'm already a little crazy like that to crack up over it.
Unfortunately, i can't remember exactly what i said inside, i know what it was about, just not what exactly. Bad memory i swear. Thank god i don't smoke or it would be far worse. I just know it's something about a dildo or something but i'm not sure. Yeah, probably a good thing father dearest didn't look, for my sake |

This year I spent too much money on cardstock and other card making supplies.. special paper and such in order to make my own cards. But I got too busy... and didn't end up making one card. So i'll just send some generic ones to my family. I'll just start making cards for next year. I made a really nice birthday card for this girl at work... she kept going on and on about how much she loved it at work.. then like.. two weeks later i stopped by her house.. and she had it up on her fridge That made me feel special. I'm going to try and make cards for every holiday...so i'll actually have them when the time comes.. and i won't be struggling to get them finished. I am sending one person on here a present though. It won't be done until after christmas though.. so I might just call it an fac award I've been working on it for 3 weeks... _________________ |

John Munch for J00.... Like that's really the most exciting part of anyone's card, but it was my favorite part. Glad everything got there safe. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Yeah. I put the cardboard in everyone's as an afterthought, since most of the art didn't take up more than half the space in the envelope, n' I didn't want it to be folded right down the middle. Suppose I should've written "DO NOT BEND" on it, but it always seems those are the ones they end up folding. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. I must agree with Lasher...cards are a good gift when you don't want to buy anything expensive. ^_^
Exactly! And anyone who's cool and a good friend likes them just as much as a present and can perfectly happy and all smiles (and laughs, laughs are good for the cards people) as they might with a present they could possibly use up in the shower and next thing you know, next month it's gone! So yeah, x-mas present are da bomb! (that is so cheesy but i had to)
I was a millionaire, everyone would get awesome present and x-mas cards. But i'm not, so i stick to the cards for now
And doing the online card thing with online friends is cool. Just as long as your a half good judger of personality so you don't give your address out to some creep. But i just warn them all i do have a baseball bat and a nasty temper when people just show up lol. |

Christmas cards are just (in my opinion) a thoughtful small gift that reminds the person that is recieving the card that they still think of them and care for them enough to at least send good wishes. I was running extremely low on money this year and bought a few gifts for my close friends and now I'm making a few chrismas cards and pictures to make up for lack of gifts for my other friends see It pays off being an artist sometimes _________________ I'm just a simple MEGGY MAE. |

I normally dont get Christmas cards for friends, just family. But when your a kid, parents dont care much about what the card is, or the theme, just the sentimental value unlike adolescence. I forgot to get my gf a present though I'm not broke, I just wasnt keeping track of time. I got her a really nice and expensive (well, expensive for a card) card. It has I picture of a dog with a ribbon around his/her neck and it says "I love you" on top and "Merry Christmas" on the bottom. Inside it has a little christmas poem that screams makeout. I'm just hoping that I'll be there when she opens it. |

Man, I'm so easy to buy presents for. Was helping a male friend of mine pick something out for his fashion queen girlfriend and spent most of the day bitching about how much he was thinking of spending on shit like jewelry and designer clothes and taking her out to dinner just to get in her pants.
I don't wear jewelry or fancy clothes, and I'm happy swinging through the drive-thru.
I wasn't much help, since he said she wouldn't like the crotchless panties I suggested. It sends the right message. Oh, or for him to show up with whatever gift he got her, then open his jacket with the "It's not gonna suck itself" t-shirt on underneath.
Maybe he should've just gotten a nice card.... _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Your so straight forward, and that's what makes you fun
I would have a blast buying you a present. Because i could have fun with it instead of the usual boring thing. Hell, i'd send you a gift card for an online porn shop. lmao! That way, you could come back, and post pictures of what you were able to buy with it. lol. Now that would be interesting. Oh god, the ideas i would get walking through a mall shopping for some of you people. It would be funnnnn!
Maybe the guy should have just given her a sappy card and a bracelet, that would have done the trick. And if she didn't suck on it then, trash the bitch and move onto the next...after you take the card and bracelet back for the next one that is
That would be bad |

He bought her a necklace. One like on those tv commercials "Make her smile, only $299!" She wanted a ring "just because", but he didn't like even going near those kinds of thoughts, even if she really did want one "just because".
I don't understand jewelry, except maybe being flattered at how much cash he was willing to throw away for you, but there's so many more...interesting things that could have been done with that money.
Thus why cards are so nice. Inexpensive and not a generic piece of metal on a string.
