How Does The Ranking System Work?

How does the ranking system work and what are the ranks here exactly?

You mean the little blue squares and small phrase underneath our avvies, right?

They change automatically as your post count rises. Don't get excited though, it doesn't give you any new privileges or anything.

The one exception is that depending on how well known you get on the forums, one of the mods might assign you a custom member title to replace the standard ones. Mine, for example, is a custom title.
