I don't know if it has been talked somewhere else, but I'm just fed up with the thousands of popups this site has.Isn't there a way to reduce them? They make my computer freeze!!Please try to do something about it! |

Two possible solutions for the future.
1. Become a paid member (like $5 a month)
2. The site makes enough revenue to not need as many popups. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

See the paid accounts thread.
The site needs to get money from somewhere, unless it gets another source of money (like paid accounts, donations, merchanside, etc.) the popups have to stay. _________________ You will obey or molten silver will be poured into your ears. |

Popups attack me. I hate the swimsuit network one, you know its gonna come back.
BUT I know you need them. So I just stab them in the stomach and jab them in the eye! |

Yeah, there a bitch but we need them. There is the option though of a paid account which comes with more features, nicer look out on the site and guess what, no pop ups! talk to denis about it, a price isn't set in stone yet.
Me, it's annoying, but not half as bad as some sites i go to, like animewallpapers, holy s**t do they ever have so many god damn pop ups and i swear its getting worse. arghh! |

meaya popup ad filter is the best of those I've found. I use it and almost never see any popups (which I need screenshots if you get inapproprarte ones, I dont see them)
http://www.meaya.com/
However, keep in mind that the site is about breaking even as is. Less popups means less money. Less money means the site has to shut down (unless an alternate source is found, and I've only got one donation)
There ad revenue has already gone down like $10. Much more and they wont pay for the hosting. _________________ You will obey or molten silver will be poured into your ears. |

DUDE, I remember that episode!
Denis, here's an example of some of the adds I've been getting. It's kind of small, but it's basically a pill to get him... well, up. They talk about it in the add. It doesn't really offend me, but I don't know if you'd want those kind of adds on here or not so.. .yeah. |

That guy in the ad must be either a heavy drinker or crack addict. Why don't they ever put someone like Hef in those ads? Now that I think would sell... _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Kate, you sure they are comming from Fanart Central? You may have some spyware on your computer generating them. _________________ You will obey or molten silver will be poured into your ears. |

Speaking of that, know any good programs to find spyware? Preferably free, but at this point my computer's so messed up I'll give up a leg to fix it. <_< _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you... If you were here, I'd kiss you. 616 unwanted items deleted from program files and windows alone. Then again, it's never been checked, so it's had a lot of time to build up. Hasn't locked up yet (after doing so every 10 minutes before), so hopefully it helped a bit. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
