If you own a guitar, tell us what kind and how long you've been playing.
I own three guitars. A Yamaha, a Squier Stratocaster, and an Epiphone Les Paul Classic.
I prefer the standard humbucklers instead of the soapbars. I like the appearence.
My Yamaha is a fat model. Humbuckler at the bridge and two pickups. 5 way switch.
My Squier Strat is a standard model. Pickups at the bridge, middle, and neck. 5 way switch.
My Epiphone Les Paul is standard. Two humbucklers, one bridge, one neck. 3 way switch.
What is your guitar and it's stats?

Well voted for Fender strat since it's my favorite guitar.
-So I own a Fender American Stratocaster. Sunburst color. The usual 3 single coil pick-ups and 5 way switch. Costed 1125 euro's (euro*1.35= USD).

-Second guitar is a Gibson Les paul studio smartwood. colors are darkwood and gold. It has that real Les Paul sound and a very distinct look (diffrent then most Gibsons). 2 humbucker pick-ups, 3 way switch.

-3rd guitar is an Ibanez G10. THis was/is my first guitar. It's in metallic blue and actually looks very nice. Too bad it ain't that comfortable/good, still better then a squire though (as far as I have played both). It costed me 800 guilders, which comes down to 350 euros.

-my 4th guitar is the only acoustic guitar in this list. It's a Yamaha steelstring country and western guitar. It's very old and looks pretty wasted (there's actually a big hole in the back of the neck at fret no. 1), it's about 25 years old and officially it ain't mine since I borrowed it, but I don't have to give it back :D

-my 5th guitar ain't here yet, but I'm planning on buying a classic guitar (nylon strings) to play a diffrent style of music then I usually do. I'm not planning on spending much, but you seem to be able to get a pretty good one for around 150 euro. Since I'm rich due to a lot of extra work in the vacation I think I'll give it to myself as a present  B)

since I'm making a list, I might as well make it complete.

- I won a Marshall JTM30 tube amp. It's a real classic, it's got that warm tube sound (way better then 'normal' amps) and it has a lot of volume since it has got two speakers.

-I've got a BOSS ME33 multiple-effect pedal. It can make every sound you can imagine.

- I always use Dunlop .73 mm picks.

-I've got a slide and a capo to do some extra freaky s**t.

Well that's about it.

Fender Squier. Cool Now worship my poor white trash gear. Nah, really, I barely play it so I picked it up super cheap. Someday I'll probably get more into it and buy something better, but I just like fucking around with it. Have had it for almost two years exactly (Christmas present to myself) and have played a total of, like, 20 hours. Rolling eyes

I love the sustain of the Gibsons and Epiphones. The set necks add a lot to it.
I don't like my Squier very much. It's quite heavy and the color is a cheap shoreline gold.
The Epiphone is light as my Yamaha, but with the set neck and double humbucklers, the sound is heavy, then cleaner with the flick of a switch.
The Yamaha is a favorite, it being my first guitar and it's appearence. Plus, it sounds very good for a bolt on, clean and distort.

I use an Ibanez Tone Blaster 25R amplifier. Perfect for stage and practice.
I also use a Digitech RP-80 Effects Pedal. It's awesome on guitar, but when I hook up a Fender Precision Bass to the amp and use that baby....
It's heaven.
I also use Dunlop .73 mm picks. I also use Fender Heavy and Extra Heavy for Bass playing.
Peavy provides my cords and I use Fender Bullet Strings on all of my guitars.

that's weird. But don't get your hopes up, a real Gibson is HEAVY. It's a little heavier then my Fender and twice as heavy as my Ibanez. I think a squire is about as heavy as a fender, maybe a little less, so a real Gibson would be really heavy acoording to your standards.

I've played Fenders and they are much lighter than my Squier.
I'm not sure, I think mine is the odd one out. I've even played other Squiers and they don't weigh as much.
My Les Paul is light, as is my Yamaha. The Fender's I've played are about as light as my Les Paul.

They can call it the "Crash Signature Squier by Fender Stratocaster Standard Non-Locking Tremolo Special".

I have an acoustic Samick that was a hand-me-down from my cousin, and one that I don't know the make of... it's from the 70s, I got it at a flea market.

I own a Samik electric and an alvarez acoustic. The Alvarez is really nice while the Samik is nice for its price. I've only been playing for two years now.
