Anyone who saw him on ABC last night (New Year's Rockin' Eve) saw he's still got it. Still has the look, attitude, voice... Age has treated him very well.
And now my point, he has a new single! And a new album. Completely forgot to mention this, but it's called "Devil's Playground" (how appropriate ) and it's due out March 22nd. That's right before I drive to Reno to see Motley, so you can guess what will be on heavy rotation on that ride.
The first single is called "Scream", and you can hear it HERE. Just wait for the page to load, and it'll start on its own. Thoughts? Opinions?
Mine:
Great song. Besides the blatantly obvious lyrics I love ("Make me scream all night, all night long. Gonna get extreme all night, all night long" Yeah baby), the guitar is great. But can you expect anything else from Steve Stevens? He and Billy always work great together. Billy's still got that dark sexy voice to pure attitude screaming. Steve does a kickass solo, and it's all around a typically organized Idol song. He's always had great songs in that, unlike a lot of pop crap, it's not the same thing over and over and over. There's different parts instead of identical verses and a chorus.
Billy is back. Pictures _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I didn't even know he was going to be on. I never watch New Year's Rockin' Eve 'cause it's always crap acts. I watched Motley finish up on Leno then went to put another movie on, and the VCR happened to be set on ABC...so I hit power and there he was. Very pleasant surprise.
Hopefully he'll make at least one video. Even if it wouldn't get airplay, I could download it. And a tour supporting a new album is always a good thing. Dammit, I need to start raising money now to afford all these tickets. Rock Never Stops with Cinderella headlining, Billy (at least he should tour)... I was out of town for the last tour.

Well then, even if I had known he was going to be on, I'd have taped it and watched afterwards instead of suffering through that needlessly.
EDIT: Random Idol promotion: If you like Billy, check out Generation X. The band he was in before going solo. They were a punk band, real British scene punk. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I so want that album. but i never by cd's. I hate buying them. Bah, they're like evil, yet i so need them at times it's depressing. God dammit!
I really want some billy idol to look at. I'm f**king serious, i'm so happy you sent me that baby. I have it nice and safe in a drawer with Katsu's and my best mate since i was 10, Emma's, letters and cards. Feel special, i've never put anything else in there with that stuff. You are not official, the good s**t
Send me over some of that stuff any time you feel like it hun. If you don't like it and think it's crap, wether billy or not, don't throw it out. Just save it up and ship me some of it. I'll hang it up all over the damn place and spend my free time day dreaming. Oh s**t, reminds me. I need to give you my new addy. A few people. Heh.
Thanks for the link to the pics though. God for an older guy he's still fuckable. And a blonde! I normally don't like blondes for nothing, but my god, he's just sexy. |

Wish I could find some pictures from New Year's. And hey, he's not settling down anytime soon...perfect.
I like blondes. Mostly bleache blondes, but who's being picky. Dammit, now I have to wait till March. I should really stop buying CDs. I'm gonna make a Billy Idol necklace like the Motley one I uploaded. Yes. Yay.

Haha, wow... Yeah, I really have no one to give shit to around here. If anything they don't even want to see it. I stopped showing most of my friends anything a long time ago 'cause all they did was complain "You're just trying to make my fairy drawing look bad, aren't you? " Yes, of course, that's clearly what I'm trying to do... _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Aww, that's f**king retarded of them (no offense to your friends) but yeah. Hey, if you want to send me your billy idol drawings or what not, feel free babe. I'll gladly take those kinds of things. I love em, they're original and something different to put on my walls. |

Meh, I don't mind that much. I don't really know anyone in person that's good for more than either "cool!" or complaining, so it's no big loss.
I'm on a painting kick right now. Got...3 with backgrounds drying and one that's "finished" and sitting a couple days till I decide if it's actually done or not (it's in my DA scraps section, "don't change that song"). Yeah. Maybe I'll do one of Billy. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
