Again, read the forum and you'll see LOTS of people believe in instinct or intuition or "gut feelings" T.T

and again, quit double-posting.
and I have really good luck, too.
Well you haven't been lucky here, yet T.T
okay I have one last thing to say on this,I do not believe that it is possible to predict the future or move things with your mind, but reading minds is, by scientific law, possible, however it is not something that the human brain, as is now, would be able to do, it has to do with physics, you see you're probably not aware of this fact, but as your eyes scan these words a certain percentage of the mental energy necessary for reading leaks out from under your cranial cap and escapes. it's not a large percentage, but this energy(in the form of beta waves) radiates out in all directions equally. most of the the waves are lost to the void of outer space but a few of them are able to bounce off the ionosphere.

when they get back to earth the great majority of the beta waves are absorbed harmlessly by inert materials, but (and here is what is according to what psychics say, which I'm not sure I believe) a tiny percentage of them are capable of stimulating the "hyper-sensitive synaptic glands" of certain individuals, scientists refer to this phenomenon as "intercranial communication" in everyday speech we would call it mind reading.

Now if you believe what psychics tell you then the synaptic gland is a recessive characteristic and hypersensitive ones are even rarer. these "psychics" claim that leading scientists estimate that there only 9 people in the world with properly functioning hyper-sensitive synaptic glands.
True, very true,
A better question would be, "Who isn't psychic?" Everybody has some psychic abilities, but not everyone believes in them.

true, veery true...

i forgot to put telepathy in my first post.

I believe in psychic powers but I don't practice it nor do I study it. But if kind of seeing "a big, tragic event going to happen" psychic, then...you can say I'm psychic. I have that gift and also sometimes hearing voices, either screaming or from somewhere inside my room. My great-aunt has the power to see spirits.

Oh yeah, I'm sort of telepathic with my cousin. WTF?

1. okay I have one last thing to say on this,I do not believe that it is possible to predict the future or move things with your mind, but reading minds is, by scientific law, possible

2. now i must say i havent been completely honest and im sure it is amazing when you realize that I am one of these few people, That's right! this very instant, as you read these words I am reading minds, yours in particular. don't be alarmed, and don't try to resist. It's useless. The entire process is beyond concious control.

3. THERE!! I HAVE IT! YOU'RE THINKING THAT I CAN'T READ MINDS!!!
1. Science is based on theories and experimentation of said theories. Science believes in the human psyche. You are thinking science has proved that we can read minds. Wait and I'll address this.

2.. No you're not, you're predicting our actions based off logical situations. You've obviously predicted I'm a skeptic of these abilities and now I can predict you're going to reply with a post that says how completely wrong I am, and now I've said that, you'll reply with a neutral post, now that I've said that....... Get it?

3. Again, you're predicting what our reactions would be off of logical sequences displayed in these forums before. You're not making a good argument. In fact, none of your arguments have been exceptionally good. They're not solid enough and you tend to use either religious fact(i.e: fiction until proven otherwise) for scientific debate, or you try to base these accusations in seemingly intelligent responses to convince people like Crystal Wolf you're right, in which you are NOT.

This is a scientific argument, if you haven't realized. You can't take a "psychic's" word for it because they'll defend themselves, of course. You can't take a priest's word for it either, as he'll say "YOU'RE THE DEVIL". You can take science's word for it because they've proven beyond a doubt what you think is wrong.
The brain is a powerful weapon but it isn't a strong enough force to move things or read other's minds. It's scientifically impossible and highly illogical.
Plus, ever look at Crossing Over with John Edward? Notice how he goes to a random section and then chooses a common name at random("I'm picking up a Billy? William?") and then builds a story off of common details("I'm sensing a dog, do you own one?").
He'll eventually get the entire story, but enyone can do that. In fact, I did it once for a project, and it worked.
It's an illusion, however a clever one.

I just had to mention, since this thread brought back some great 'lol' memories: years ago when I was a Star Wars nerd (how nerdy, i think goes off the scale Cool ) I found this website that was talking about the truth in the jedi thing.

It taught you the right way to meditate and told you how to do various tests to see if you were sensitive to the Force. Yup, there were some fun plastic lightsaber fights and many a jammed finger, bwahaha. Laughing For those who are curious, I finished my jedi training, though and was awarded a cheap R2-D2 bookmark by George Lucas' secretary.

Nah, I finally got tired of Star Wars when the new ones came out and sucked the big one. I don't care about the supernatural one way or the other. I believe in spirits in a broad sense, but I don't think about any of that much.

I believe in extraterrestrial lifeforms, ghosts, and vampires, werewolves, etc..
But Psychic powers are proven impossible, while extraterrestrial lifeforms are not proven impossible, neither are vampires, ghosts, werewolves, simply because you can't keep one in captivity to research it.
There are hoaxes of all of them, of course, but I like to think of the authentic.

I think my dreams are telling me what's going to happen later in my life. I have De ja vu all the time. And once I had a dream that showed me drawing at a school playground. The next day I was drawing at a school playground. WTF? WTF? WTF? I think I can predict the future.<_<

first of all, you might want to put that image in your sig. and shrink it down to banner size.

second of all, if i'm not mistaken, drawing at a playground isn't all that out of the ordinary. it wasn't chance that you were drawing there after dreaming about it; it probably would have happened anyway, dream or not.

ghosts.. I don't believe in them, but it's not entirely impossible

aliens... probably but nobody will ever know for sure

werewolves.. no chance

vampires.. even less chance

You see, it's impossible to have a vampire, as the subject must first die and be reborn a vampire. It's impossible in our laws of nature.

And werewolves, well, it's not possible to transform back to a human. Where does all the muscle tissue go, and how does the skull transform in the first place? Simply not possible, or material must be created out of thin air.

That proves nothing. You saw yourself drawing at a playground, so you drew at a playground. There's nothing there that shows us you can predict the future.
And for God's sakes, get that picture down to a banner size.

Ok you cannot move someONE with your mind. You can however, move someone quite well with your words. I don't know how to describe this but the most incredible man.. my Hero if you will (Razz) is a Briton named Derren Brown. He is simply f**king amazing. Possibly the most intelligent man about the human mind/patterns/sequences/maths/streetwise.

Look him up. Check him out. I'm getting his DVD as soon as possible because he is just so f**king amazing. http://www.channel4.com/entertainment/tv/m.../M/mindcontrol/

Derren makes people fall asleep while they're talking to him on the phone.. How does he do that. He can make people fall back and such by saying things to them like "There's a force moving to you, imagine this force moving through you and forcing its way through your body.. keep that feeling in your mind" then he'd like.. go silent and move his hand near them.. concentrate for a moment, push his hand towards them, not touching them and they'd fall back.. He'd catch them of course. He's simply incredible. It's all true, so they say, and I believe it. 100% I believe him. He went to this judo master and he punched through some logs ns hit, you know.. then Derren like.. stood a small way away from one guy.. assumed the position and went to punch him but stopped before he hit him. The guy flew back, lifted his shirt and was red as if he had been hit.

I honestly don't know what's going on but it excites me :P

Check it out Seriously.. Definately something for skeptics.

As in Vlad the Impaler, Flea? There was also that one lady that bathed and drank the blood of young women to keep her beauty and youth o.o;; these were actual people....

As far as that guy goes, Gray, yeah, it's sort of like hypnosis (more like the power of suggestion to the subconcious mind)
^^ I had a friend who could do stuff like that. She taught me one "trick" (make someone's arm go up and down with an "invsible bucket")
^^ it's fun, it actually works

If our minds are that easily tricked T_T;; then we're a good couple stages behind in evolution from telekinisis.
