People who say people who love real fur coats are dumbasses are dumbasses.
Animals are killed everyday and of course everyone goes on how "OH noes, they're all gonna die!!!!". Yeah, well, so are we. Ain't life a bitch?
I don't care much for hunting, but what happens to a deer after the buckshot enters it's skull is something I don't care about. If they kill it for clothes, food, game, it's really something to wonder about.
I suppose our ancestors were dumbasses when we needed fur to survive in the warmth. Come to think of it, there are still people who need it. Now who's a dumbass.... Penniless guy who killed a rabbit for its hide so his dick isn't flopping in the air, or you, who thinks he should die insteads of kill that poor rabbit.
Face it, you can't assume that everyone who wears fur is a dumbass. I don't, as I is straight, but you're being extremely stupid and naive when you say they're all dumbasses.
Plus, without that cow's hide, where would be our leather clad rockers?

I guess your right ragingflea002. It was pretty stupid of me to say such a thing. I think one example is what if you have a relitive who loves fur coats but is actually a really great person? I guess I was the dumbass huh? Now I feel even more stupid than before. Now killing a rabbit for it's fur is no big deal because rabbits reproduce quickly. But killing a tiger, that's another thing. When I ment that people who like fur coats are dumbassess are people who love ones made from endangered species. That was what was going through my mind at the time. So now I shall say it. I'm sorry that I said such a thing.

Killing a cow for its meat and hide (to make leather). That's okay too. Smile

Anyone who eats meat really has no room to talk about any animal being killed. I wouldn't give up my leathers for a cow.

Drug testing is a whole other matter, but food and clothing are fine. However, I would rather see someone make a coat out of the skin of Li'l Kim than her buy yet another fur just because she has the money... Rolling eyes

And Flea, typically when people say "fur" they mean fur coats and fashion clothing, not survival. Wink

Um, yeah, flea, honey, we're talking about purely for fashion. i mean, a fur bikini for $10,000 if f**king crazy <_<

I have no problem with people like the native americans or people in the jungles killing animals for fur to survive but for fashion. It's a little fucked up really. I mean, the people who kill animals to survive, tend to use all of the animal.

And i'm sorry, i don't care for people killing tigers. They were my favorite animal growing up. God, watching 101 dalmations really screwed me up Laughing But yeah.

Well, seeing as how I'd rather run around naked smiling and showing off, you didn't really think I'd respond like that, did ya?
Come on, my idea of fashion is jeans, long sleeved shirt, and white undershirt.
The honesty is this. It's all your personal preference over ethics and I really don't want PETA coming and telling me a cow can legally sue me for eating at Hardees.

I'm okay if the leather, fur, hair, etc. came from the leftover from the meat that was used but, mink for example, are killed just for the fur and the meat is just wasted. I just can't stand that sort of things...

and I haven't been here for a while.... ahoy to all!! XD

That's what I admire most about you, Flea. You don't just give up your opinion. I hate people who change their opinions constantly just to gain popularity. But, (and this doesn't mean you...) there is a time when you must change your opinion aswell. *cough cough Bush cough...*

Anyway, back on topic, animals should be used in full, not just fur coats or also not just for food. There are many uses for things. Be crafty damn people. Yup, that's all I have left to say on the subject....

It's hard to beat the smell and feel of leather. Except maybe when it's plastered perfectly around a body................. Yeah.

I don't get people who say leather is uncomfortable. If it's good quality, you can't get much more comfortable. Soft and perfectly form fitting and smooth. Sure, you won't be able to take them off for two hours if it's warm or you're doing much physical activity, but it's worth it. Leathers.
