everything they talk bout is true.
No, not really. They're celebrities who want sympathy, too. And they need to lay off the make up. That idea's already been taken! ^_^
But I guess if it floats your boat and makes your day light up, you can think that, but don't drown in the fad that's already amost gone .
stole it from a friend and made a copy for myself
I am totally against music theft! If you were a true fan, you'd go out and buy the cd- when 1,000 people like you do that to their favorite musicians, they're doing no one a favor but themselves. The music industry goes down because of this. So if you do these things, I don't enjoy listening to you brag about it.
You could've bought the songs off of Itunes for extremely cheep and burned them to a cd. that's legal. _________________ <MARQUEE>
everything they talk bout is true.
Of course it is. Except for the stuff that isn't. Ya know...like...all of it.
i mean, britney spears would never be able to live in the real world.
And Good Charlotte could? Please. At this point they're both pampered pop stars. I don't see Benji working the Mickey D drive-thru window or trying to pay student loans. That's the real world, honey, not a platinum selling record and groupies galore. TRL is not the "real world". MTV is not the "real world". National tours are not the "real world". So they don't relate to you anymore than Britney Spears, sorry to break it to ya. Know what they'd be singing about if they wrote songs about their world? How much it sucks when their tour manager doesn't make sure the venue has the right kind of candy backstage. How they specifically asked for an Xbox, and the venue had a gamecube. That's their life. Period.
but i agree with all their songs.
That rich famous people suck? They're rich and famous! You cannot sing a song about rich famous people when you're selling 2 million records and are on MTV every ten minutes. Just because they don't look like the Backstreet Boys doesn't make them any more legit. You're buying their plastic little songs. Labels have staff, professional writers, advisors whose job it is to determine what is popular and what kids want to hear about, and that's what they produce. "Oh, kids are depressed. We'll write a song about how you shouldn't kill yourself 'cause kids will eat it up"
It's a joke. A sad little joke that anyone believes them. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

They're such annoying little tryhards. I can't believe I actually used to like them. Now I hate them. When I see girls in school with "punk rock" jewlery, tons of chains on their pants, and a Good Charlotte shirt it makes me want to vomit

I can tell you straight up they're too damn serious in them videos. Jesus, if I have to see Billy and Benji and Joel and the other dude act like they can actually play(you know the whole sweating, bringing the bass and guitar down to cock level, moving so fast no one can tell they're hitting the same note in succession).
i hav the young and the hopeless (stole it from a friend and made a copy for myself) and i hav the chonicles (sp?) of life and death (death version) and i luv em both!
1. everything they talk bout is true.
2. i mean, britney spears would never be able to live in the real world.
she could prolly be a prostitute, but other than that, i cant see wat she could be.
3. but i agree with all their songs.
1. Not if they're talking about their lives. They were regular teenagers, just like Duff, Slash, Axl.....Why can't they sing about sex, drugs, booze, and all that is rock unholy? Nah, they're pussies. Whinin' about "everybody labels us...". They labelled themselves, the motherfuckin' cock suckin' pussies.
2. Uh, Earth to Zelda, come in Zelda. She's living in the real world, there is no other.
3. You must be rich and have a nice car and tons of angsty friends as well as a surfer dude boyfriend who has that gnarly accent, dudette. O.C PWNS!!!!!1
In short, they lie their asses off and you believe it. Are you the one who voted for Billy in the Better Guitarist thread? Because if you did, you've obviously never heard Slash.
Or real music.
Good Charlotte has three albums, Jissie.
Good Charlotte
The Young and the Hopeless
The Chronicles of Life and Death
And a live DVD, Live at Brixton Academy.
I believe there are 4 people total.
There are roughly 1,789,043 songs about suicide.
Before they began to play, Benji taught Billy his first chords. This is after seeing a Beastie Boys concert and being inspired.
I did some research last night and I was quite pleased with the results.
And how does a pop punk song save your life? Ok, 4 people who are famous can "relate" to you(it's crap), what about the 78,934 others who can and they're not famous, at least 5,603 of them professionals.
I wanna be the next Angus Young. I wanna be the next Jimmy Page. I wanna be the next Slash. I wanna be the next Hendrix. I wanna be the next John Shafer.
But, ok, pop bands whining about life. I can't compete with that. If I whined about my life.....
"My mom has one hand and only one leg
Man that sucks I hate a guy named Greg
I wanted a puppy but I got a radio instead
My cat is really fat this sucks I'm losing my head"
I could make that into a mockery song. "Lifestyles of Bitching and Pussies"
No offense, but its funny how much Flea hates GC but at the same time, knows oh so much about them.
GC is ok, but I'm not a huge fan, their first album really sucked! It wasn't even music, I could've died right there, eww. If you compare that CD to their latest one they've come a long way in my opinion. But, man it was horrible!!!

What is this place we live in? The internet. I can get that info off Windows Media, VH1, MTV...
But, I didn't. I'll tell you why.
I research the bands by listening to ONE album. That's all. I judge them, I get the info, then I write what you see here.
Hating something and knowing about them are two very different things. _________________ Not all who wander are lost.

It'd like me going on about how much Good Charlotte sucks while not KNOWING anything about it. Haven't you been taught how to argue?
Research the subject.
Point out pros and cons(if applicable) ahead of time
Begin
Pace yourself as the argument continues.
Point out the pros, but then counteract using the cons.
Don't lose it, it shows weakness.
Profanity is a strong way of expressing a weak mind.

Omg Good Charlotte roxxors. They learned how to play, perform and write lyrics in two years without any previous training! Then they were catapulted into the mainstream by hippies and angry teens. What are you talking about, they teh s**t! |

And your reason for thinking that is what? Everyone has given numerous reason why they're a pile of dog shit, and all you can do is scream like a preteen girl who's dreaming about holding hands with Benji? Please. Put your dick back in your pants, and turn off the GC.
Thank you, please drive through... _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Okay, you just did two things that are very uncool. They are:
1. You made a *coughCRAPPYcough* statement without giving any reason (fallen's already covered this but its best you just get the idea.) This is why we lose respect for you GC fans. If you all could give decent reasons why you like this whiny faux-angsty band so much then we probably wouldn't be so annoyed with you. <_<
2. You don't need to call us dipshits. You don't see me or Flea saying that GC fans are dumbasses here (not counting anywhere else on this forum) 'cuz you don't listen to what we listen to.
So the next time you come back here, come with a good arguement especially for when Flea gets here. He sometimes forgets to take his happy pills and loses patience for you GC fans. Hell, he probably makes fallen 'n me look really nice. But just try and, I dunno be smarter and don't just shout out random statements without backing them up. And try to keep the lanuguage PG-13. The average GC fan is usually in their pre-teens and don't need to hear this language now. Plus it provokes us to swear like that too and then we all get in trouble. _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

Since when is good rock n' roll PG-13? While GC is bubbling around MTV specials, Motley Crue was doing lines of blow off chicks' asses and throwing JD bottles at the heads of Japanese businessmen. Vince just got nailed for swearing on live television a couple weeks ago. There's a reason Stryper sucks.
But the point about maturity still stands. Defend your opinion, or in the words of Nikki Sixx, shut the fuck up. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Good point. ^_^ How could I have forgotten one of the major rules of the All That is Rock Unholy Religion? Of course, its not like anyone else besides you or Flea is going to catch me on that. ^_^ How many GC fans actually abide by All That is Rock Unholy?

Quite true. I'd have to check, but I'm pretty sure there's a passage about not ripping off Alice Cooper's makeup... And "thou shalt not write songs when thou cannot play" _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
