(All in no particular order)

Ok so people!! Who would you say is the most influencial person on FAC (or has there ever been). You know, in all of the FAC forum's lifespan, there has been many people coming, going, banned, invited. Tales from Curdled Cave alll the way to that other cave and back. I'm sure you all have your own stories to tell and yes I'd love to read them!! What have been your most memorable moments in FAC and also who has came and changed FAC for the better/worse. Influence and reputation are important things if one wants to be known in an internet community. Who do you think would sport the most heads of enemies if it.. were.. really a battle.. of sorts.

Ok.. It's 5.49am.. Goodnight.

Voted Mandark cuz he was the one suggesting Carter should become a moderator, and it was done within 2 weeks (although no one payed real attention to it).

Mandark was really influential to me. I was really close to leaving the forums for good, but Mandark convinced me to stick around. So for everybody who doesn't like me around, blame Mandark.

Auf Wiedersehen Mandark

Everybody's been pretty influencial, but I got to know Mandark in a month as well as I got to know everybody else over the past year. Plus, he's the only person in the forum to actually instant message me. He may stur up controversy and not have the best judgement when choosing his battles, but he is very intelligent. For his determination and persistance, I respect him. As for watching from the sidelines while everyone else got riled up, how could I not say he was influential?

I'm fairly new, but so far fallen and flea have been pretty influential on me.

I write-in Vince. Kate, Denis, and maybe LiYang will remember who that is. No one had the same literal power over the site he had, although only for a week or two (except the AOL ban...). . . . .

Mandark was bad, but I didn't spend hours patroling for his posts like I did dealing with Vince n' Co.

And...er...I assume you're making the poll based on internet personalities. If not, may want to do a few edits on the ChrisFox option. Razz

From what I can gather from these stories about this Vince fellow is that he hacked the site or something.

But the sad thing is, that if you would ask this question to the fac people that don't visit the forum, the most influencial person on fac would be Inu Yasha Sad

Vince didn't make it into the finals of the last official FAC contest (the "draw anything" one), and he flipped. It was his own fault he didn't get the picture done until right before the deadline, thus it was at the bottom of 80-some links and hardly anyone clicked on it. So he deleted all his pictures, submitted pictures that redirected to tubgirl and a couple other pages, spammed the forums, did a variety of things in the chat room, brought in a band of friends to help, and all around raised hell. And since he was an AOL user, banning all of AOL for weeks was the only solution until he got bored.

But he was always a trouble maker and source of irritation before that anyway.

You could never be more wrong.
I voted Mandark for the same reasons, unfortunately.
He never bothered holding an actual debate with me, which makes me angry.

It's kinda a tie for me, but Layz and Lasher would be my choices. When I first came to the site, Lasher was actually very nice to me in chat. She helped explain stuff that went on in the site and really got me into it. Eventually the chat went down and I left for a couple months. When I came back and the chat came back, I met some of the new people (wasn't too happy about them...) and got to see some of the oldies aswell. Layz started comming on the chat about then, so that's when I finally met her. I had seen her art before, quite the artist aswell. Her interesting sense of humor helped me get over myself and just be who I want to be. Without her badass attitude I would probably still be a whiney little bitch. Razz I almost left the site again because it didn't seem all too interesting, but Layz sucked me back in and pretty much introduced me to the forums. So, if ya hate me, blame her for me being here. Wink Razz I chose Layz just because, well, I lost touch with Lasher. I never really talk to her anymore, so there isn't much more she can influence me with nowadays. Layz, on the other hand, still likes being her manipulative self. Razz Laughing

Yeah.. those who don't want me to be a mod noticed. Other than those few.. I don't think anyone really cares.

Why would anyone have a problem with you being a mod? I just don't see why that would bother anyone.

Because it was basically throwing them a bone and not on a need basis.

Yeah and I was only a site helper... what a horrible thing for me to become a mod. It might seem a little insulting that I only became a mod because they wanted it... but i'm pretty sure.. that if I had requested it myself it could have happened that way.

*Snicker* Me influential? Only if you count deception. I remember those discussions Gray, most certainly not the best of times, but I like you now. Razz
