haha lovely synopsis, zack-lover. but yes i have seen this movie and i love it! the rat who helps her out is my favourite character- jeremy was his name i believe. but the whole movie was pretty dark and intense for a kid's film, if you think about it.

i also read the book when i was much younger (the only thing i remember is that her name was mrs frisby instead of brisby). there was a sequel too... um i forget the title but it was about her son timmy. it was a lot brighter and shinier, and i think it was a musical. my cousin was obsessed with it for like two weeks so i watched it a couple times with her.

What a horrible concept for a children's movie. I remember it and used to really like it, but still...

I've seen them both

The second one is where timmy (whatever his name is) sets out on a journey to find his brother (mark I believe) with a girl mouse and they get to the big city and go to this labotory and find that mark has been turned into the big Mental maniac because of all the electro shocks, and he has been in control of all the humans and mice in the place.

And the girl mouse has to rescue her parents from this place, and they do and the bring mark back to (that place...) and he gets all better...

That's all a remember from the movie, I was I think eight or nine the last time I watched the second movie maybe a little older. I am not sure, I was bored out of my mind, I think the first one, with all the darkness, was the best one.

I'd read the story before and seen the movie years and years ago, so in other words, I forgot almost all about it. I just know some of what it involved, that being rodents who acted pretty much human, which is cool. Very Happy

wow!! Surprised I remember seeing that movie when I was 5. (I think :huh: )
we used to have a tape of it, but it broke when I was 8. -_-

I remember it was one of my favs when I was little, :wub: couse I love the storyline (like dark fantasy sci-fi Wink ) and the bright effects. Very Happy I wish we have it again, ^^;

and yes the mother mouse's name is Mrs Frisby couse I remember the name Frisby by a dog toy. :P

hehe I wonder if its in DVD now if its in stores Very Happy

Guh- the second one made me want to die. The idea for it was just really lame. It was just another example of how lousy children's movies have become. Where as on the other hand you have the Great Mouse Detective (sticking with the mouse theme): family fun and songs about little mouse strippers stripping :ph34r: Hell, I still like that one Very Happy

I haven't seen the old Nimh in a few years, but I thought the old mouse was pretty cool. Nichodaemus? I don't know how to spell his name. I just hated the crow. He was annoying.

It's funny how this topic came up; but I got that movie as part of my brothers Christmas present on DVD at Wal*mart. My brother likes that movie. ^_^ But I think its pretty good animation for a 82 film. It seems a lot of us watched that show when we were kids. ^_^
