My dad told me about that story yesterday.

That was outrageous. I can't believe those kids were hand cuffed for drawing pictures of violence. Surprised

I let my emotions reflect in my art all the time. Just becasue I draw someone dying doesn't mean I'm going to kill that person. I bet those kids didn't know the extreme consequences of drawing something like that in school.

I agree with those that think this shouldn't have included the police. It should have been the school and parents job to deal with this situation.

crikey, they did this to two 10 year old boys? they put handcuffs on them for just drawing a bunch of crap about this one kid?!?! jeesh, if that was way to deal w/kids at the skools around here, there would only be a few students left. plus, heh, id be skrewed too Very Happy

was this story in the newspaper or something? heh, i never heard it (im usually not home to hear stuff like this Wink

That so dumb once i drew a stick person labeled "me" smashing another one labeled "justin" (he's a cousin who was ticking me off at the time and for that matter still is... <_< ) and i showed it to a lot of ppl even my mom and no one got mad or anything. So i dont see y they were so upset about 2 ten year old boys doing pretty much the same thing. And involving the police was just plane stupid. I wonder what kinda parents those boys had hmmm...hey Will, is there any where we can go see those pics?

They're 10 years old! You don't bring in the cops to handle something like this, the school system should take action, not the police. If that's the case, I shoulda been arrested too.

I drew a picture of a boy being torn limb from limb by wolves because he took my chocolate milk during lunch once. Grr!

THEY ARRESTED STUDENTS for drawing stick figures!?! thats just sad. they arrest innocent kids while some murderer guy is probably out there getting an undesurved break. you people make some bad desisions out there!!

The cops there have to be really fucked up. It's just a threat. So what? The principal should be able to handle it. At my school, you get in trouble with the principal for making threats, not with the cops.

hmmm when i was in 3rd grade id draw pics of dead pple morbid pics all the time behind the school papers and desk even bad ords but never got in trouble
really yeah thats way over reacting people are idiots actaully i found one i had saved from 3rd grade project i had to do day before summer vacation

How stupid!! In grade 7, I drew a picture of a neko holding a knife, which was covered in blood, while standing in a pool of blood. He was covered in cuts, blood (me like blood!!), and he was crying. I drew, and shaded the pic at school, and even some kids saw it!! In fact, it's on Fanart!! Another pic I did was sometime last yr, where it had Gato (my half demon) clawing himself, and there was cut marks with blood streaming out of them!!

I have done lots of violent pics at school and I have never gotten in trouble!! Not once!!

It took me about ten minutes to defeat Giga Bowser, Ganondorf, and Mewtwo from Super Smash Brothers Melee using Peach.
How long did it take my brother to defeat those characters using Yoshi? Two minutes.
I like to obsess over stuff. Here are all the things I'm obsessing over:

Anime character(s): Kanda
Video Game: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Video Game character: Wolf O-Donnell from Star Fox Assault

OMFA, that has got to be the stupidest charge that I have seen in my entire life.

obviously the police don't have anything better to do then hand cuff some 10 olds who probably don't know anything from dirt.

NO WONDER all my drug dealers walk free. Yuppers, cops go right a head and hand cuff them whipper-snappers, cause they are doing some seriously bad crap up in here.

Yes, but thier may be serveral factors not taken into account. (Not that I'm saying that the arrest was right, I used to hang naked barbie dolls in my room.. I don't remember it, but thats what others say)

1. Was this in Conneticut? Because I friend of mine (a guy) was living in connectut was in kindergarten, and his "girl friend" fell down in gym, and he helped her up and dusted off her pants. He got charged by his school for "Sexual Missconduct" Conneticut is... interesting.

2. Did they have histories? Did they draw pictures or write somthing and came through with it? They said they where in Special Education, so they may have been indicating something.

3. Describing the pictures, and seeing them, are two different things.

Do I think they should be arreseted? No. Do I think they should get a detention or two? Yes. They should know that if they want to draw stuff like that, don't show it to someone who'll tattle. Thats my mentality!
