Newbie Mistakes

Okay let's admit, we've all have made at least one mistake as a newbie. So this is the place to confess your forum sins. Be honest now. I bet even the mods made at least one mistake as a newbie. Laughing

I remember getting the forum and actual site mixed up. I joined the forums a year after I joined the actual site so I thought that I wasn't a newbie on the forum. And thus, I proclaimed that I was not a newbie to the whole forum. I did get caught. I think it was Gray who corrected me on it and I apologized and was more careful from then on. . . . .

Also, bonus points if you can remember who corrected you. Razz

I haven't been a genuine newbie in so long . . . .

However, I do recall, back when I was new to FAC I did snap back at a mod once when they were just trying to help solve a problem, in the Help subforum . . .

I remember when I was a newbie and I made a slight mistake when typing in a particular topic that I couldn't really contribute to, because I was a newbie. Boy, did the guys have a major larf that day. lol, mercy me.

And the funny thing is, I'm still a newbie....but it was still a mistake, so i'm typing it here NOW so I won't have to later. Hope that's acceptable.

I remember making the mistake of thinking that since I go to a university, statistically, I'd probably be smarter than most people, and people around here would be smart enough to understand it is nothing more than a statistical fact instead of getting personal, but I was proven wrong. It was just downhill from that day on, really, but the ride downhill was pretty entertaining.

well it certainly left a lasting impression, but if it's the image you're going for, that remains to be debated
