I've read far too many books to have an actual favourite. However, if I expanded the question a bit, I'd have to say that one of my favourite series must be Discworld. Pratchett is an absolute genius. The first book I read of that series was Wyrd Sisters, and after that, I've been fairly addicted. ^^; _________________

I just recently read Stephen King's The Stand. I saw the series and decided I had to read the book because I enjoyed the series so much. Luckily enough I was allowed to read that for school. I recently finished it in flabbergasting time. I liked the book, but I didnt really like the ending.
I also read the 4th RE book by S.D, I finally read The Sorcerers Stone, and I'm in the middle of reading "Claire" By Stephen King |

NO WAY!!! Destiny Tales is definitely the best book series thing there ever was! Err, forgot the author, had to return it to my friend 2 days ago. I'm gettinh the 3rd one today. I'm surprised at how many people don't know about it. IT'S A GOOD BOOK! So if you see it READ IT! Knight's of the Silve Dragons is a really good series too. All in all though, I like all books. Cept maybe the children's books and anything that has to do with school. Actually, make that I like all FICIOTN books. There we go. READ DESTINY TALES!!! I can't BELIEVE how many people that haven't even HEARD of it. It's ridiculous. |

fear and loathing in las vegas by hunter s thompson
the life and times of oyster boy and other stories by tim burton
america (the book): democracy inaction by the daily show writers
naked pictures of famous people by jon stewart

"The Dirt" - Motley Crue. Tommy has a new book out (Tommyland) that contradicts some of what's in it, but The Dirt is overall a better read. Features all four of them with some great stories, especially from Nikki.
"Rotten" - John Lydon (Johnny Rotten) Part autobiography, part social commentary, and a whole lot of Johnny Rotten humor. The man is brilliant and an excellent story teller. Plus it has random commentary from various other people in the "punk" scene. Billy Idol, Chrissie Hynde, etc. One chapter will be talking about his childhood, then he'll start talking about how much he hates The Clash, then a bit about Sid's drug problems, then back to his childhood. And still it all makes sense.
"One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" - Ken Kesey. You just have to read it.
Nikki Sixx has been talking about a book for years (The Heroin Diaries) that should be good. And not just because it has "heroin" in the title. I want to find copies of the Jizzy Pearl books. "The Martian Chronicles" was pretty good for being something I had to read. "Memoirs of a Geisha" too. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
"Claire" By Stephen King
It's, uh, "Carrie", my friend.
I read it, it's a good read, but I think Mr. King has a facination with the teenage girl vagina. Either that or he loves sexual dialogue, not surprising as he used to write in regulary to Penthouse and Playboy.
My favorite books are by Mario Puzo.
"The Godfather"
"Omerta"
Awesome, full of violence, politics, and internal struggles. _________________ Not all who wander are lost.

I love way too many books to count, but ones that stick in my mind right now (partly because I'm reading/have recently read them) are:
The Hitchhiker's Guide Series
The Harry Potter Series (Shut up, I know I'm a geek )
Fahrenheit 451
The Acid House by Irvine Welsh
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Ishmael and My Ishmael by Daniel Quinn
Slaughter House 5
The Chronicles of Narnia
Stephen King's On Writing (Non-fiction, but it counts, eh?)
There are tons more, but I'm either A:too tired to remember them or B:too lazy to list them. _________________ "I've got a sticky Darodo!"

Okay...
Anything by Douglas Adams. It's been nearly four years and I'm still mourning his death.
Nearly anything by Neil Gaiman. He rides the line of good taste sometimes, but his storytelling is amazing.
Everything I can get my hands on by Terry Pratchett. Discworld is so much more fun than our world.
Plus miscellaneous books of course. |
